New edition of Hillary's book deletes section about her TPP support

Liars should never write books. Books are a real problem. Because liars always have to be ready to change their stories, and once a book is released, there's no changing it. The book says what it says, and it's out there for people to read. If you now want to say something different, how do you deal with the fact that your own book is floating around contradicting you? But Hillary Clinton has to change her story because that's what she does, so the fact that she wrote a book in 2014 bragging about getting other nations to support the Trans-Pacific Partnership cannot stop her from pretending it never happened - a must now that she has changed her position from calling TPP the "gold standard" of trade agreements to opposing it entirely.

So what's liar to do? Re-release the book, of course! And this time you just take that part out. See? It never happened:

The paperback version of Clinton’s 2014 book, which details her work as secretary of state for President Obama, omits the passage in which she touts her efforts to get the country to support the 12-nation trade deal, which she once referred to as the “gold standard” for such agreements. “We worked hard to improve and ratify trade agreements with Colombia and Panama and encouraged Canada and the group of countries that became known as the Pacific Alliance -- Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Chile -- all open-market democracies driving toward a more prosperous future to join negotiations with Asian nations on TPP, the trans-Pacific trade agreement,” Clinton says in the hardback version about a 2009 effort. However, Clinton changed her position on the Trans-Pacific Partnership in October 2015, about a month after the deal was signed and after weeks of being pressed by the news media for an answer. A total 96 pages were trimmed from the hardback version. Publisher Simon & Schuster said a “limited number of sections” were cut to “accommodate a shorter length for this edition," according to the Center for Economic and Policy Research, which reported on the changes shortly after the paperback edition was released in April.

The Democrats are the ones who should be having a crisis of conscience over who they're about to nominate - and desperately looking for a way out

It may very well be that the publisher wanted to make the book shorter, although that's never an absolute necessity. It's not as if paperback books can only be a certain length. It costs more to print them if they're longer, but if Hillary had insisted that everything in the original be in the re-release, Simon & Schuster could have made it happen. But then, why would Hillary do that when she had a need to quietly wipe her support of TPP from history? People obviously remember it - she's not getting off that easy - but she doesn't want to remind anyone about it by including it in a new version of a two-year-old book. And that's something to think about too. Her work on the TPP deal happened in 2009. As recently as 2014, Hillary was still bragging about having helped pass it. Only in 2015, when it became clear it would hurt her in the race against Bernie Sanders for Democrat votes, did Hillary suddenly do a complete 180 and decide she was opposed to TPP. This woman will say and do anything to obtain power for herself, and that includes pretending she never said something she put in her own book. The Democrats are the ones who should be having a crisis of conscience over who they're about to nominate - and desperately looking for a way out.
