New Progressive Left is becoming a death cult while decrying benign Conservative “Microagressions”

Only five days after the horrific atrocities of the Hamas massacre of 1,200 Israelis, Wake Forest University Professor Laura Mullen joined countless other University professors and students in justifying the murders, rapes, torture.

According to the Winston-Salem Journal, Mullen posted on X the now deleted tweet: “So it’s kind of a Duh, but if you turn me out of my house, plow my olive groves under and confine what’s left of my family to the small impoverished state you run as an open-air prison, I could be tempted to shoot up your dance party, yeah, even knowing you will scorch the Earth.”

On the progressive political front, according to the New York Post: “staffers for State Sen. Julia Salazar offered effusive praise for Hamas in the hours and days after the group’s Oct. 7 terror attack which left at least 1,200 Israelis dead. Hamas devastated two communities near the border with the Gaza Strip and slaughtered hundreds at a music festival, with reports of mass rape, beheaded children and babies found baked in ovens. ‘By any means necessary,’ Salazar’s Communications and Policy Director Sarah Campbell wrote on X the day of the massacre.”

Campbell also Tweeted “I don’t condemn Hamas, I condemn Israel”. It’s time Americans end this death cult.

First, the attacks of October 7 were beyond horrific and arguably more heinous than even the Holocaust. Yes, the Nazis killed far more Jews than Hamas murdered on October 7, but that’s only because the Nazis could kill more. By Hamas chants about the genocide of Jews “from the river to the sea”, what happened Oct 7, as well as the provisions of 1988 Hamas Charter, the intent is clear. A difference between Hamas and the Nazi is that the Nazis knew their murders should be kept secret. On Oct 6, 1943 (Posen address), SS Leader Heinrich Himmler spoke of the Holocaust but said: “I ask of you that which I say to you in this circle be really only heard and not ever discussed.”

In contrast, the Hamas genocidal atrocities (including murder, rapes and torture) on October 7 were publicized in real time by Go Pro cameras and sent out to the world to witness. Within hours, actual murders of civilians were posted on the Internet and seen by millions. Phone calls of Hamas terrorists calling parents about murdering Jews, while parents cheered, were publicized. The blood of raped women was clearly seen and posted on video. Within a couple of days eyewitnesses were speaking about decapitated and burned bodies. Videos of the mangled bodies of babies were shown privately to reporters. Unlike with those who attempted to marginalize reports of the Holocaust during World War II, Hamas atrocities were both unspeakable and known to progressives

Much of the progressive pro-Hamas sentiments like being “tempted to shoot up” Jews came even before the Israeli invasion of Gaza. During the various protests in blue cities and universities, American Jews were harassed. Pictures of the Jewish women and children taken hostage by Hamas were torn down by progressive protesters.

This condoning of murder goes along with the Left’s changing sentiments with the unborn. Until recent years, the Left agreed that abortion was tragic and should be rare but safe. Bill Clinton spoke for Democrats in the 1990s in demanding abortion should be “Safe, Legal, and Rare.” The differences were solely in whether or not the mother should have the final decision about ending the life of the unborn.

Fast forward to 2022, with Biden treasury secretary Janis Yellen openly arguing that ending abortion would be “very damaging” to the economy. This came after the progressive 2015 “Shout Your Abortion” social media driven campaign which brought tens-of-thousands of women to essentially brag about having an abortion without shame. Abortion, which most Americans agree is the end of a life, whether called a fetus or unborn baby, has gone from a necessary evil to a seemingly positive good.

Ironically, this is from the same progressive left which has become more and more sensitive to the harm that conservative words cause, and demanding the suppression of that free speech. As we all saw with the Congressional hearings on antisemitism at elite universities, the same universities which have “cancelled” so many for even misgendering, allows calls for the genocide of Jews.

To the silent majority of Americans, this appears to be the insanity most believed limited to the Ivory Towers of liberal universities. The insanity has leaked out into society as we see. The ease of condoning the atrocities of October 7 should not be ignored. Many on the left have been calling those of the right “enemies of Democracy” and even “traitors.” The rhetoric is building for the death cult to move to the next step in the United States.

It’s critical America get back to our agreement that all Americans are “endowed by their Creator” with certain unalienable rights and created in the image of God. That includes the right to life and freedom. Let us demand the death cult ends. Before it’s too late.
