Here's yesterday's social media post on a new twist on my 'Borrow A Brother' volunteer safety escort theme that God gave me by surprise on the Fourth of July:
- 'My 8:00 pm rideshare I scheduled early this morning ended up taking a heat exhausted Brazilian lady and her boyfriend who were brought into where I work shortly before closing.
- They were dropped off at his truck which was parked on the same route I take home.
- Pleasant end to a long day.'
My concept of 'security' is far more expansive than conventional definitions.
In this instance it meant agreeing with Good Samaritans in town for Essence Fest to offer a ride to a pair of foreign tourists in a pinch.
The scenario was tailor-made for my volunteer safety escort advocacy.
