New York becoming a Third World City,

New York is burning without the fire

The subway system in New York is burning. It is in a fire of neglect. It is lukewarm ashes. It is directionless; a relic of the past. Yesterday I went home at 5:30, which is far too close to rush hour for my taste. I felt like I was in a slum not one of the most powerful cities in the world. The passengers were rarely in suits. We were all casual examples of an indifferent society.
I got on the F train from York Street in Brooklyn. It was crowded but not too bad. I figured this might be OK. I got off at Broadway/Lafayette. I liked the Lafayette part of the name. I felt connected to the Revolutionary War. I saluted the General Lafayette of our beginnings. But when I got upstairs the station was crowded. I looked at the teleprompter and it said the train was delayed. This happens too often these days. I waited about fifteen minutes and I was shocked when a train came. It wasn’t even that crowded. I shoved my way in and figured I was a lucky man. As we went along the train got more and more crowded. I felt claustrophobic. I got a little panicky and got out at 28th street.

My sense of direction hasn’t been too good lately and I accidentally walked downtown and over to Lexington Avenue. I realized I was in the wrong direction and went back to Madison Avenue and walked a few blocks up town to catch a bus. So far it had taken about an hour since I left York Street when it should have taken twenty minutes. I cursed De Blasio under my breath. Him and that left wing stern woman, New York City Council speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito. They do everything to make our lives more difficult while they pretend that they are helping the poor and freeing felons from jail. Well, I do have to admit that De Blasio does complain about the subways. I just wish he’d do something about them. After ten minutes I caught a Madison Avenue bus. It was as slow as hell seems when you’re roasting. I travelled another hour, feeling nauseous from bus sickness. I wished that I could get back on the train but don’t like being in pornographic positions with people that are hanging all over me. I finally got home and got out of the bus. If only de Blasio would stop bragging about what a wonderful progressive he is and do something for the tax payers who fund his city. I think de Blasio is too tall to allow his little brain to conduct his awkward body. Oh, that’s just because I liked my father who was short. I can’t help but laugh when I think De Blasio travels the country trying to create a dismal national presence. As if he wants to spread his stench from state to state. With New York becoming a Third World City, I would not blame all the wealthy people for moving out. Then who will pay to support the needy? The homeless who are never helped anyhow? De Blasio? Viverito? They don’t have a generous bone in their ambitious, bureaucratic bodies nor the finances to help.
