North Korea really specializes in releasing weird anti-western propaganda films. You may recall the bizarre "We Are the World" spot they created last year. Then a few weeks ago, we saw them release clips showing New York in flames and Barack Obama burning in the wake of an apparent nuclear attack.
Now, they're back at it. Over the last few days they've been rattling the sabre so hard that, if they're not careful, they're going to shake it to pieces. On Friday, we saw this little gem:

The film, entitled "A Short, Three-Day War," shows a potential invasion of South Korea. The battle starts with an artillery barrage, before unleashing paratroopers and ground troops. It also predicts that the thousands of U.S. citizens living there would be taken hostage. According to the narrator, "The crack storm troopers will occupy Seoul and other cities and take 150,000 US citizens as hostages." How do you top that? Well...... Today, they followed it up with a new film which appears to depict an invasion of the United States in retaliation for the Korean War. It starts with the horrors of the 1950's conflict - complete with crying children and dour music - before shifting to a triumphant, upbeat attack the US.

Frankly, they leave something to be desired. Even the IRS is producing better invasion movies. If North Korea wants to step up the quality, they should hire Michael Moore to help them put these things together. No doubt he could find time for the Norks in between his appearances on Piers Morgan Tonight. Plus, he could probably get Sean Penn or Danny Glover to narrate. Everybody wins! On a more serious note: This is what happens when you have a United States President who is neither respected nor feared by the international community. The planet's crazies have been emboldened....
