NRLC legislative strategy conference to be held tomorrow

WASHINGTON – The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) will hold its State Legislative Strategy Conference for state right-to-life leaders on Tuesday, December 7, beginning at 10:00 am. The opening session of the conference will be open to members of the press.

O'Steen, Ph.D., Executive Director The morning session will feature an overview of National Right to Life's state priorities for the 2011 legislative session and an overview of public support for pro-life legislation. Among the measures to be discussed will be a model bill based on Nebraska's Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Time will be provided for press questions before attendees adjourn to a closed session for the afternoon. The Nebraska law, which prevents abortions after 20 weeks from fertilization, when substantial medical evidence indicates unborn children feel pain, took effect October 15, 2010. Reporters who intend to cover the conference are asked to pre-register for credentials prior to the conference.
