Obama in Israel…joking about the nuclear ‘red line’ on open mic

Barack Obama. He's always such a comedian. He also seems to have a problem with saying the wrong thing in front of open mics.
In Israel yesterday, he was caught on tape making light of Bibi Netanyahu's nuclear "red line." As you know, the red line symbolizes the moment at which there must be a military intervention or Iran will have a nuclear weapon. That weapon's first target would most likely be Israel, so a U.S. President making fun of the concept would be - at best - in poor taste. If Romney had said something like this, he would have been pilloried in the press, his trip would have been declared a failure, and the left would have been making non-stop jokes about what a screw-up he is. Here's your President, upon his arrival in Jerusalem, busting out the funnies.

If you have trouble making out the audio, the Israeli guide says "We are following the red line, sir." Obama responds "Bibi's always talking about red lines! This is a psychological ploy!" Hilarious. It would probably be a lot funnier if millions of lives weren't on the line, but hey, comedy is comedy, and the President is nothing if not a master of timing. So, who are we to judge?
