Obama is frustrated that Democrats haven't fully embraced how awesome he is

In case you missed it, the 2014 Midterm elections were held in early November. Democrats ...didn't do too well. Conservatives are quick to point out that the Dems’ historic losses were mostly attributable to Barack Obama's policies, which the President famously declared were "on the ballot" just prior to Election Day. Since then, Obama’s been pretty quiet about the whole thing.

Perhaps that's because he's still stinging. Today, NPR released a clip in which Obama discusses his most recent "shellacking" and expresses his "frustration." He's upset, you see. ...Not so much because of the loss itself, but because Democrats running for office failed to properly laud the overwhelming success of his many, many, popular policies.
“I’m obviously frustrated with the results of the midterm election. I think we had a great record for members of Congress to run on, and I don’t think we – myself and the Democratic Party – made as good of a case as we should have. And, as a consequence, we had really low voter turnout and the results were bad.”
See? If Democrat candidates had just lavished a little more praise upon the administration's record, they would have won! In the end, though, they lost the Senate because didn't talk about Obama enough. They didn't invite him to their rallies, and they didn't want to be seen with him. That was a big mistake because, if the Obama is to be believed, his policies have been extremely effective. Voters simply don't understand how lucky they are to have a President like him. If Dems had just explained that a bit more, everyone would have been clamoring for more. Instead.... Obama is frustrated that Democrats don't understand how awesome he is Obama went on to say that, now that the GOP has taken control of both chambers, they're going to have some work to do.
“Now you’ve got Republicans in a position where it’s not enough for them to simply to grind the wheels of Congress to a halt ...and then blame me. They're going to be in a position in which they have to show that they can responsibly govern given that they have significant majorities in both chambers.”
Hmmmm.... "Grind the wheels of Congress to a halt." I forget. Who was it that blocked Senate votes on over 300 bills passed by the House of Representatives last year? I could have sworn it was Harry Reid. It must have slipped the President's mind.
