Obama intends to reshape the military. That’s surprising when you consider that he has never been in the military and that he has the pacifist’s allergies to war and nuclear weapons. He pontificates, “Yes, our military will be leaner, but the world must know the United States is going to maintain our military superiority with armed forces that are agile, flexible and ready for the full range of contingencies and threats.”
I can just hear our enemies laughing in their fox holes.
Obama is speechifying. His words have a life of their own that don’t bear any resemblance to the reality of the situation. How does the mind-bender think that he is going to maintain our superiority when he is stripping the military of almost a trillion dollars? Since when does stripping a budget allow for more spending on an expensive goal? Is Obama nuts? Or is he just so caught up in his lies that he doesn’t know what he is saying anymore?
Obama has this continuous problem of idealizing and believing his own hallucinations. Witness the Affordable Health Plan where he made up the idea that health care would be cheaper even though we were adding millions of uninsured to the roles and thousands of federal bureaucrats to monitor the program. It’s impossible. It’s also impossible to strip the army and make it more threatening.
Let’s be honest. Obama is making us into a sitting duck at a time when China is militarizing and the Middle East is developing rogue weapons. This may not seem very important to some of the education-minded and social caring citizens of the United States. But when the first bomb lands and 9-11 seems mild by comparison the peaceniks will be shouting for a new President. They will recite their old Obamian mantra, “change.” Unfortunately, they won’t deserve it and it will not happen.
