“Change you can believe in” supposed to smell this bad?

Obama, the Clintons and the military

As Thomas D. Segal, writer for GOPUSA, stated in his November 22, 2008 article, ‘Do Veterans Look At Obama With Great Expectations?’ “One veteran summed up what I believe is the most credible and worthy assessment of the Obama presidency. It was a man named Lee Webber living in Hawaii and his simple statement was: ‘I just have a hard time believing that if you pick the same folks that have done wrong in the past that they will somehow change this time around. I have a hard time believing in someone who denies that if you hang around, support, work for, or associate with folks who don't like our country very much, nothing rubs off. Now in my humble opinion, if you hang out in the barn long enough, you start smelling like the cows.’

The military are often taken for granted and not asked to participate in discussions of political discourse, fearing that they might be  intimidated by their superiors and will not speak the truth, if they speak at all.  But rest assured this is not the case.  Many are eager to speak their minds and let you know just what they think. It might surprise you to know that a very large majority of active duty service members are very conservative in their thoughts and actions, particularly in this all-volunteer military we enjoy today.  They serve because they love this country and want to be a part of assisting us help the world with whatever we can do to make it a better place in which to live. This shows up in the examination of military voting ballots.  It doesn’t reflect just the view that they support the wishes of the current Executive Administration, but that they are nearly always for what is best for the country, regardless of what the current administration may be supporting and promoting. It also explains why the liberal elements of our politics at all times hatch plots and schemes to isolate or even outright forbid the acceptance of military ballots from overseas areas for the least possible and microscopically evident reasons.  These liberals are on record of these short-changing actions against the brave men and women who have committed the unpardonable sin, by liberal standards, of voting.  They seek any reason whatsoever to prohibit the counting of our military force’s ballots principally in presidential elections even after these warriors have put their lives on the line to help save their sorry posteriors. You may recall the great lengths to which liberal Al Gore supporters went to disqualify thousands of military votes in the Florida elections in 2000.  And then again this year they were up to their old tricks involving the military overseas ballots from the state of Ohio.  I’m sure there were other places, but just those two states showed how scurrilous the liberals can be.  That will probably be a negative recruitment factor for our armed forces.  Oh, I forgot.  Obama wants to get rid of our military forces doesn’t he?  And, Greg Craig, one of the Clinton legal gang, as his impeachment trial counsel as well as a barrister during the sad and scandalous Elian Gonzales deportation hearings in Florida and I believe he was a prominent legal voice for the obstreperous Al Gore during the Florida debacle with George Bush in 2000, has been tapped by Mr. Obama to be White House counsel.  Is “Change you can believe in” supposed to smell this bad?  Well at least now we finally find out what all this change is, that Obama has been preaching about: “Change the Executive Branch Administration appointments from Bush people back to Clinton people.” And speaking of the Clintons, can you believe that we might once again enjoy (as in ‘suffer with’) those two again?  Just hope they aren’t in positions where corruption and average good conduct are essential to the successful performance or we’ll be seeing more laughable attempts to chastise them. And then too, what about Obama himself?  Does this, his first official conduct since being elected, seem a bit as though he is not really his own man?  Why is he re-inventing the Clinton cabinet?  Was he planning to appoint people like Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, M. Farrakhan, and the like before the widespread very adverse publicity of those “friends” of his became known? Or, does he not have the actual grit and integrity to know anyone outside of the seamy world of Chicagopolitics who would qualify for those jobs?  Does he have to depend on “Clintonistas” because he is lacking in what needs to be done or knowing who would make the best appointees to accomplish it?  Then in addition to that questionable strategy, why in the world is he making the Clintons themselves such integral parts of his administration?  Does he need those two, tainted and of dubious character individuals, looking over his shoulder during the affairs of state for the next four years? Is Obama finally showing he is less than the man he has portrayed himself to be?
