If you listen carefully, you will clearly hear Ronald Reagan’s words: ”In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”

Obama’s Orchestra: Top Brass Silent or Silenced

The Brass section of the orchestra is often the loudest and the most communicable. In Barack Obama’s band, the top brass is either silent or silenced.
Prelude Where there is a will, there is a way. Due to present government’s actions, we witnessed what has been the most devastating chapter in American military history. The size of U.S armed forces is steadily shrinking; the military capacity is being diminished in sharp contrast with growing security threats. Taking himself for universal maestro, Obama is pulling the strings of his symphony’s Western European section, with U.K being number two ranking in military budget cuts, followed by Germany, France and Italy. The unprecedented number of military suicides, Veterans’ chronic homelessness and locking up soldiers in Leavenworth also mark the pages of the chronicle of disaster foretold.

The present “stick holder” is conducting the orchestra by waving his pen, using blunt tools on the left and choir boys on the right; the result is a deafening cacophony which is supposed to muffle military voices of reason, cries and prayers of victims slaughtered in the ongoing war.

Silenced

A leader weakening the country, making it vulnerable for hostile foreign interests leaves the top brass with no other choice but to protest. The Officers in the Armed Forces swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. They are bound by the oath to disobey any order that violates the Constitution. The country where the truth was setting free, become a place where the truth can land you in hot water. Apart from being dismissed, many of our oath keeping defenders know blacklisting, harassment and media smear campaigns. Absurdly, the officers are being punished for criticising the civilian leadership, while it’s their solemn duty in case of abuse of power and endangerment of security. In case of bizarre favouritism and unusual friendships with the country’s enemies, the House of Representatives and the Senate should be the first to think about the Articles I§ 2 and I § 3 of the United States Constitution, but it seems they wouldn’t be willing to budge even if national representation of Olympic skiers slalomed between the false flags.

Silent

It’s sad that frantic civilians are blogging “would our military fire on us?” Is it because they feel they can’t rely on military leaders handpicked by Obama? Presenting Hillary Clinton with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joint Distinguished Civilian Service Award, General Dempsey gushed: “And at home, you’ve strengthened your own institution, the Department of State. You’ve moved diplomacy into the 21st century/…/ and you've been one of the -- as I said at the beginning, one of the staunchest supporters of the military, in my personal experience, more than any secretary of state in my career.” Maj. Gen Michael Nagata considers that ISIS is so busy fighting for supremacy in Muslim countries, that there is no immediate threat to us for now. Nagata seems to promise psychoanalysis rather than action:”I want to engage in a long-term conversation to understand a commonly held view of the psychological, emotional and cultural power of I.S. in terms of a diversity of audiences.” Do you also analyse phobias, General? How about the irrational incapacity of calling ISIS “Islamic”, or the urge to keep one’s hands clasped during the playing of the U.S. national anthem? Even Veteran Affairs got their poisoned chalice of a veteran, SF Robert McDonald (SF for science fiction, not for Special Forces). Apart from Honor Code Violation, the VA Secretary fired 900…naah, 60 (or was it five?) employees who altered medical appointments for Veterans, creating deadly delays. McDonald does not need to worry about his position, by Obama’s standards:”I don’t want that to detract from the outstanding work being done”, he is the right man for the job. If there’s anything more useless than an empty suit, it is an empty uniform. Even if the dumbing down process brought results and some civilians don’t pay attention to the shameful treatment of American soldiers and Veterans, the majority of long suffering citizens would rather side with the top brass criticising the government than with the politicians. Gallup polls show unchangeably that Americans are the most confident in the military, much less in other institutions. People who would not be willing to accept confiscation of their weapons and home security alarms realise that by waging war against military patriots the government is reaching for so much more… No matter how loud Obama’s orchestra plays, if you listen carefully, you will clearly hear Ronald Reagan’s words:”In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”
