One Law for the Liberal…

A while back I was contacted by an individual who represented himself as someone who spoke for the Islamic community. This person gave the impression that he was reasonable and willing to discuss the issue of Islamic extremism in a civilized and logical manner. He felt that I spent too much time in pointing out the bad without mentioning the good. I replied that if he was willing to condemn the bad acts of those claiming to represent Islam I would put his argument into my column. He agreed to this. This was several weeks ago. As you can see nothing has made it into print.

I have no knowledge regarding why this person hasn’t responded, but I do have suspicions. You see, in the world of the liberal, any act viewed as counter revolutionary is immediately punished. In the world of radicalism, that punishment quite often is of the capital variety. Any who find this statement to be hyperbolic or outrageous should go back and check the archives on all those who have been killed for simply publishing or speaking an opinion some radical found disagreeable. In the United States, we have a constitution that allows the voicing of opinion, well…we used to. The Democrats are working overtime to dismantle it. Most of the countries the liberals say are more enlightened than we are have no such protections, but an observant reader will note that those same liberals still live here. We also have laws that are supposed to apply to all equally…unless you are not a citizen, and there’s the rub. It used to be that being a citizen of the United States meant something special. To be an American meant that you had the entire power of the biggest and baddest backing your play, now…not so much. A coalition pushing jobs for citizens is currently running a series of ads that suggest that Obama could solve the unemployment problem overnight if he would simply enforce our nation’s immigration laws. They have a point. It might also be good if he would direct our security agencies to go back to profiling rather than doing everything they can to avoid a charge of profiling. This link, will take you to a story about an incident where a Las Vegas Valley police department refused to worry about what the liberals would say and did their job efficiently and by the book. They responded to a call about a group of men acting strangely in a gas station parking lot. The police found a group of seven men dressed in traditional Muslim garb. This is not the typical dress one sees in that neighborhood. Imagine you’re a cop and you come across a group of seven men, each looking like an Osama Bin Ladin fan, and they are outside a gas station, not pumping gas and it is the wee hours. What would you do if you are sworn to protect the public welfare? According to Nevada law, chapter 171 of the Nevada Revised Statutes allows for an individual to be detained for up to, but no longer than 60 minutes. The phrase, “in any event” is used in the language, but it is written in such a way that the hour time limit could extend to each member of a group being questioned. So, 7x60 equals 420 minutes potential time for questioning. The police did their job in about 45 minutes, but that efficiency holds no water for The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). They are suing and they want deep pocket compensation for all the emotional trauma these poor radicals went through. Radicals? Yes, radicals. What other name would you use for a group of Islamists who insist on dressing as if it is still the 12th century? It is important to note that the local arm of the ACLU has taken up the case; in spite of the fact that according to the state statutes, the police did everything by the book. None of the men were harmed or even verbally abused. But, according to the ACLU’s past actions, there is one law for the liberal and another law for the rest of us. That inconvenient document called the US Constitution doesn’t really matter…that is, unless they can use it to their own ends. The American Civil Liberties Union claims to be there to protect the civil rights of Americans, but it seems that most Americans are excluded from the group’s protections. A brief search of the cases the ACLU has taken on seems more like a listing of the who’s who in radicalism with a tiny sprinkling of normalcy added in so the ACLU can claim balance. If you add up the potentials in all the cases the ACLU has lost and factor in what those changes would have on this country, the United States of America would no longer exist…period. We would long ago have ceased to be a sovereign nation. Is it any wonder this group is backing seven individuals who more than likely danced in celebration as the World Trade Center towers collapsed? This site, contains several very enlightening articles in regard to CAIR and other liberal favorites. Enough information is there to put the lie to the group’s assertions that they are just a Muslim version of the NAACP. You have to ask yourself a few questions, and then ask a liberal. Just don’t expect an honest answer. What is wrong with the US being a sovereign country? What is wrong with citizens being treated as citizens? What is wrong with our country having its own language and culture? What is wrong with the US having secure borders? What is wrong with the US being a wealthy and productive nation? Why do TSA officials spend several minutes patting down grandmothers in wheelchairs while ignoring people who look like the next underpant bomber? And lastly, what would happen to a group of Baptists praying outside a Saudi gas station?
