One person killed during protest of Charlotte police shooting

One person was shot and killed Wednesday night during a protest in Charlotte, N.C. following the fatal shooting of a black man by a police officer earlier this week. Police said the fatal shots were fired by another civilian. What started as a prayer vigil over the Tuesday shooting of 43-year-old Keith Lamont Scott turned into a night of looting and arson, as police officers used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse violent protesters who had split off from the vigil. --More...
