Ontario Parties could learn from Alberta

Ontario’s political parties should follow the lead of Alberta’s Wildrose Alliance Party, says the head of the Ontario Landowners Association.

“The Wildrose Alliance has made protecting private property rights a top priority,” says OLA president Deborah Madill. “Their party leader, Danielle Smith, has even pledged to entrench property rights into the Alberta Bill of Rights, and spearhead a national initiative to have property rights enshrined into the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.” Madill says Ontario’s provincial parties should be equally concerned about protecting the rights of landowners. “For far too long, Ontario landowners have seen their land confiscated or regulated without just compensation,” says Madill. “That’s wrong. It’s time our politicians woke up and started ensuring the vital right to own private property is protected.” Madill says her group will push the issues of property rights in the provincial election.

Ontario Landowners Association -- Bio and Archives

The Ontario Landowners Association shall defend and promote the principal of strong local governments, democracy, and natural justice and represent the interests of the rural community.

For Rural Ontario to survive, Property Rights and judicial reform must be enshrined into law at all three levels of Government, these being; Federal, Provincial, and Municipal.

Rural Ontario is under systematic attack by government bureaucracy and false environmentalism.

The Ontario Landowners have and will continue to expose and meet these threats with determination and resolve in the court of public opinion.
