Oscars ratings plummet by over 50 percent as viewers walk away from Hollywood

The ratings for this year's Oscars have dropped massively. The ratings for 2021 fell more than 50 percent from the year before. In 2021, the Oscars received 8.9/19. In 2020 it got 18.1/33 and in 2019 it received a much higher 21.6/36. According to the New York Times, "analysis indicated that ‘vast swaths’ of people turned off their televisions when celebrities started to opine on politics."-- More...
