Peddling Articles or Promoting a move to Moderate? ~ Krauthammer’s latest gaffe

Over the past several months in particular Charles Krauthammer, M.D., a Harvard educated, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for the Washington Post, whose syndicated articles appear in magazines and papers across the country -- and who is also a frequent guest on Fox News -- has been on the minds of far right Conservatives.

Charles has been acknowledged for his position against the Obama Administration and its flaccid handling of terrorism, Islam, Islamist fundamentalism and the threats this nation continues to face at the hands of would-be terrorists embracing an ideology fundamentally based on the elimination of peoples not adhering to the bigoted teachings of a radical by the name of Mohammed. But more recently, and equally as important, Krauthammer has been on the minds of true American Conservatives for a seeming move towards Moderate. A move Mr. Krauthammer appears to be wrestling with as he denounces GOP feminists the likes of Christine O'Donnell and American Superwoman GOP presidential hopeful Sarah Palin while preposterously positing on national television his claim that Obama will most certainly (as of November 2, 2010's shellacking of number 44) move towards the Moderate Democrat position once pawned off on American voters. And if those eerie moves of late aren't enough to rankle some on the far right, consider now Charles' recent scorecard on Obama's multi-million dollar charade through Asia. Krauthammer, in an article sold to the Obama-endorsing Washington Post, entitled "Why President Obama is right about India", asserts, "The India visit was particularly necessary..." going so far as to criticize Americans for being so arrogant as to complain about "...drawing down the Treasury to move the president..." Even bloviating a tune of Obama superiority over Nixon, claiming that "No one remembers what Nixon did in China..." Pardon me, sir, but this Conservative American voter, for one, DOES recall Nixon's actions in China. But as Charles, states, I digress... And then we discover the meat of Charles' Moderate Conservative, perhaps Moderate Democrat article in the Post; a piece that praises Obama for building a partnership with India towards an end of controlling China's move towards dominance in Asia. Comparing China today with Germany of yore, defining the Red State's neighbor's actions as simplistically comparable to those of Europe from nearly a century past, Charles paints a picture of Obama as savior to the Middle East. One major ingredient, however, is desperately missing from Krauthammer's equation. And that ingredient is one that Obama ~ once rightly condemned by Charles ~ is nurturing in the region: Islam. Since when has Barack HUSSEIN Obama ever attempted to fight Islam?! Krauthammer, in an article earlier in the year blasted Obama and his administration because of their "absurd and embarrassing refusal to acknowledge who out there is trying to kill Americans". Yet Obama exited the stage in India to land on the shores of Indonesia to not only call Islam the "great world religion", but to also castigate the United States further for not being more tolerant of that murderous "religion". That same week, "Islamic State of Iraq" claimed responsibility for the deaths and injuries of dozens of Christians in Baghdad. China, Indonesia and India are home to a monumental Islamic population; a fact not lost on Obama as he once again preached a well-rehearsed sermon of tolerance to include, "America is not at war with Islam" ~ the precise nation-splitting diatribe offered Americans on 9/11/2010. And what of the hostility between the governments of India and the United States? Did these well-documented issues escape Krauthammer? Or are these facts as related to trade and the World Trade Organization improper fodder for Moderate (Democrat) articles published by the Post? The government of India recently threatened to haul the United States before the WTO on grounds of discrimination based on that country's interpretation of GOP-backed legislation that would have raised fees on visas required for workers entering the United States. The Bill written by Republican Grassley in Congress aimed to curtail loopholes in the current system being manipulated by both unscrupulous American corporations as well as the countries supplying the cheap labor. Directly targeted by Congress were the carriers of H-1B visas. These visas, and the regulations in place to manage such visas, are directly linked to laws written by the Founding Fathers. Specifically, H-1B visa laws are traced to the Steerage Act of 1819 as written by the 15th Congress ~ a Jeffersonian Republican Party Congress presided over by James Monroe. That the current laws have become fractured and are now being abused is a travesty that classic Conservatives in Congress are attempting to right. Of the nearly 215,000 H-1B visas approved in 2009, 48% of those went to India, for laborers that ultimately were trained to fill positions in the ever-expanding outsourcing industry. So riddled with loopholes is the current system, that its initial intent has been rendered extinct. Originally established to assist American companies with locating highly skilled, advanced and very well-educated employees when none could be sourced from within the U.S.-based employment pools, the H-1B visa program has instead become, in the words of "Indian Commerce Minister Kamal Nath: "the outsourcing visa" [process]". Towards a goal of balancing commerce between our nations, Senator Grassley proposed legislation that would protect American workers, close loopholes in the current system, cease discriminatory advertising in cases of visa eligible candidates, levy taxes upon H-1B visa holders, and other measures to ensure that U.S. citizens receive fair and balanced consideration in the job market. As the regulations stand currently, in complete contrast to the intent of this nation's Founding Fathers, employers are able to hire H-1B visa holders from foreign companies (as outlined, these foreign companies being primarily Indian owned) and have those employees brought to America for training. Once trained by an American counterpart, the U.S. employee can be terminated and the foreign employee then "outsourced" back to their nation of origin. Back in their country of origin, they return to work for a foreign based company to perform the task as learned from their American counterpart ~ who is now unemployed ~ and the U.S. company reaps the benefit of the cheaper labor. In addition, the foreign company pays no taxes to the American government for the American trained and outsourced employee and also benefits from one of the least expensive visa fees on record. Outsourcing has no benefit for American employees and the system as is in place is rife with loopholes. The legislation proposed by GOP Conservatives is positioned to bring about the "Righting" of immigration reform as was the intent of our Founding Fathers. India is stonewalling this nation, threatening to haul the U.S. before the WTO over this issue. Such acts of animosity are not consistent with positions taken by allies. Krauthammer ~ in his current article of praise for Obama's recent time in India ~ has either avoided or omitted this issue regarding the H-1B visa legislation, and India's threat of retaliation altogether. Either way, allies do not threaten one another in such a manner when one holds such a distinct advantage over the other. India has been playing the upper hand for years now and Obama should have addressed this issue before acquiescing to committing billions of American tax-payer dollars in additional aid to that nation. India was addressed at the United States-India Business Council with Obama as key-note to the Business and Entrepreneurship Summit on issues such as (among others) Obama's "U.S.-INDIA GREEN PARTNERSHIP TO ADDRESS ENERGY SECURITY, CLIMATE CHANGE, AND FOOD SECURITY" (wherein Obama "agreed to encourage the mobilization of public and private resources to support a fund or funds that would invest in clean energy projects in India.") One wonders, with the American economy approaching $14 trillion indebtedness, where those promised billions are going to come from. AND, last time checked, by literally hundreds of noted scientists world-wide, the "global warming" initiative WAS A SCAM! Obama set about in India to redistribute wealth from this country to that nation through partnerships in Green Energy and other lucrative (for the Indians) and suspect measures that follow his consistent path of Socialism. And Krauthammer knows as such; or should have. Further complicating issues of Islam, WTO expulsion, redistribution of wealth, and trade imbalances is India's recent response to America ~ our Labor Department in particular ~ on the issue of child labor and child indentured servitude. The United States Labor Department clearly identified, and then published a list of, key commodities known to be the result of child labor. Internationally -- specifically from India -- these items include bricks, cottonseed, embroidered textiles, garments, rice, and stones. Our own companies must adhere to answering the Labor Department's demands to complete such surveys. India, upon repeated demands to submit documentation regarding its exports to our shores, replied:
"The government of India's stand is that labour standards should not be linked with trade as it becomes non-tariff barrier," Harish Rawat, minister of labour and employment told Lok Sabha on 9 August. "Our national child labour policy addresses the complex issue of child labour in a comprehensive, holistic and integrated manner."
Interestingly, Obama, only weeks earlier, committed $60 million per year towards the elimination of child labor around the globe. Yet in India, a nation eagerly ready to lock arms with Obama to launch his global Climate Change initiatives, "deplorable" child labor conditions are allowed to rest idly in closets; resting quietly alongside bed-fellows answering to names the likes of socialism, secularism, threats to liberty, and other such pronounced anti-Americanism rhetoric Obama seems ever-so-ready to acquiesce to. Indeed Krauthammer, parallels may be drawn between this generation's world and that one of the last century. Indeed there are enemies walking amongst us that should be called by their rightful names as you once so poignantly pointed out while still with us as a Classic Conservative. But what is clear to US is that the enemy continues to be Barack Obama; both as a Socialist dictator wannabe and fool unable to recognize those on foreign soil aiming at the nation of America as a target to be destroyed. And what is also becoming frightfully clear is that towards your goal of peddling articles to the Left, you are slipping dangerously close to Moderate center and ever closer to becoming a pandering fool to the enemy amongst us.
