Over the weekend, Nancy Pelosi made the rounds as part of Barack Obama's new "charm offensive." Essentially, the President knows that he's perceived as an obstructionist bully, so he's sending his minions out to "remind" everyone what a nice, sweet, compromising figure he really is.
Pelosi made waves during an appearance on CNN, where she said that "The President has always been very respectful of the views of the Republicans in the Congress - their leadership and their membership." She continued with claims that "All of us come here to get a job done for the American people, and certainly that is the case with the President of the United States. He's been very bi-partisan in his approach."
Of course, actual evidence of this benevolent bi-partisanship is essentially non-existent. He occasionally pays lip service to "working together," but when the chips are down, he starts yelling, calls the GOP "enemies," and tells them to "sit in the back of the bust."
Former Representative Allen West has some experience with Obama's cooperative nature, and he appeared with Megyn Kelly to discuss it.
Let's just say the word "laughable" comes up....
