Now, Marty (Martha) Walz, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, is calling the Pro-Abortion Irish Prime Minister (Taoiseach) Enda Kenny an "appropriate commencement speaker" at Boston College (BC) (Boston Globe, 10/May/13). BC named Kenny as Commencement Speaker to graduates at Alumni Stadium at 10 a.m. on 20/May/2013, when he is to receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from BC President Rev. William Leahy, S.J.
BC Law School had Pro-Abortion Vicki Kennedy (Ted's widow) as Commencement Speaker in '12. Dean John Garvey (now at CUA) had Pro-Abortion Commencement Speakers: Sen. Scott Brown in '10, Rep. Ed Markey in '07, Fmr. Gov. Paul Cellucci in '02, and SJC Chief Justice Margaret Marshall in '01.
Cardinal Sean Patrick O'Malley, the Archbishop of Boston, issued a statement on 10/May/2013: "...we consider abortion a crime against humanity...Prime Minister of Ireland, the Hon. Mr. Enda Kenny was slated to receive an honorary degree at Boston College's graduation...Mr. Kenny is aggressively]http://www.thebostonpilot.com/article.asp?ID=16007">aggressively[/url] promoting abortion legislation...Since the university has not withdrawn the invitation and because the Taoiseach has not seen fit to decline, I shall not attend the graduation."
Cardinal O'Malley is showing leadership as Archbishop of Boston and as Chairman of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Committee on Pro-Life Activities. He must keep the heat on Jesuit-run BC and its sister college, BC Law School, Planned Parenthood and all abortionists.
Kenny said: "My book is the Constitution." He should read the Preamble to the Irish Constitution on his own website, page 17 of 252: "In the Name of the Most Holy Trinity, from Whom is all authority and to Whom, as our final end, all actions both of men and States must be referred,..." Ireland's laws are subject to God's law. The USA's Pledge of Allegiance delivers the same key message: "under God."
