TORONTO,- Frank Dimant, the senior Jewish professional in Canada will be decorated with the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland on Monday, December 5.
Dr. Dimant, CEO of B'nai Brith Canada, its League for Human Rights and Institute of International Affairs, is the son of Holocaust survivors from Poland and is the respected voice of the grassroots Jewish community of Canada.
He is known for building bridges with diverse communities, and serves as Professor of Modern Israel Studies at Canada Christian College. He is an honourary Chief of the Cree Nation of Keewatin. In addition, he is Publisher of the Jewish Tribune, the largest English-language Jewish publication in Canada.
The ceremony will be held at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, 2603 Lakeshore Boulevard West, Toronto, at 7:00pm on Monday December 5.
