Tolerance? What tolerance? Inclusion? What inclusion? Not for pro-life Irish Catholics who believe that life is sacred from conception until natural death. The bigoted message from the 2016 parade organizers to pro-life Irish Catholics in New York City is crystal clear: "all pro-life groups are still banned from the parade and need not apply." Pro-life organizations and their banners have been banned for decades and their exclusion has been used as the primary "justification" for also keeping LGBT organizations out of the NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade. But for the past two years, gay groups have been welcomed and included by the parade organizers, while pro-life organizations -- which fully support the teachings of the Catholic Church - have been banned. Two recent articles in the National Catholic Register and the Daily Caller expose the blatant discrimination and hypocrisy of Dr. John Lahey, who is claiming to be the new -- but highly questionable -- Chairman of the Parade Committee and who is directly responsible for this intolerant discrimination against pro-life groups. National Catholic Register: Daily Caller: Concerned Irish Catholics have organized a peaceful and prayerful rally that will meet together on the west side of 5th Avenue between 65th and 66th at noon. At 12:30 PM they will pray the Rosary together. Their goal is to unite and network with NYC Catholics who want to defend our Faith and fight for our rights to speak, live and practice our Faith. If you cannot attend, please spiritually join them in prayer, wherever you are today, by praying the Rosary and asking the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of New York City, to intercede and lead us to seek the forgiveness of our sins and the salvation of all souls through Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
