Quinn Doesn’t Know Who She Is

Christine Quinn is the speaker of the New York city council. She acts like a silly, school girl protestor. She disagrees with Bloomberg’s reasonable view that single adults seeking shelter from the Department of Homeless Services must demonstrate that they’re actually homeless. She considers this “cruel” and “inhumane.”

Imagine, you really have to be homeless to qualify for being given a home. If Quinn wants to tear down Bloomberg and the standards of the administration, then she is dropping the mantle of her own authority. Society cannot exist when the rulers become rebels against the health of their own system. Quinn obviously doesn’t know who she is nor does she respect her position. Her bathetic sympathy for the less fortunate causes her to muddle their interests and hurt their chances of constructive solutions. If she allowed the falsely homeless to take up space in our shelters than the truly homeless would be consigned to the street corners. Spare us from the Quinn’s of the world who operate by emotion rather than logic. Spare us from the Obama’s of the world who constantly favor mediocrity and laziness over excellence. The softy who opens his heart to the failures closes his ears to the successes. America was not constructed behind blindfolds. We must look at people and see if they merit benefits. We must also look at our borders and assure the legal citizens that they are not supplanted by the illegal aliens. We must stop the Christine Quinn’s of the world from turning America upside down and perverting our values with substitute ideologies.
