Says Sebelius should resign from "mere embarrassment"

Rand Paul: Obama's taken government incompetence to a whole new level

Poor Rand Paul. His heart's in the right place, but this clip gives the impression that he still thinks there's someone within the Obama administration with a shred of decency, honor, integrity, or humility. There isn't.

As Senator Paul put it after yesterday's hearings: I think government is inherently inept, but this brings it to a new level of incompetence. I can’t imagine how she could continue in her job. She should resign, really, from mere embarrassment. I’ve never seen anything this bad and here’s the thing - when the president said you could keep your doctor and now we find out 2 million people are going to lose their doctor and lose their insurance... I just can’t imagine how they can be proud of what they’re doing and how he can’t say that’s going to hold someone responsible. When he suggests that someone like Sebelius resign due to what should be extreme embarrassment, he's barking up the wrong tree. She's not embarrassed, and she probably never will be. No matter how horribly she's done her job, she simply doesn't care. As long as she manages to survive this scandal without going to jail or having to seek real employment, she's thrilled. That said, the rest of what Senator Paul had to say is dead-on. Government excels at failure and is structured to protect incompetents by insulating them from reality. Obamacare will stifle choice, increase deficits, damage health care, and undermine the free market. Nice to see that someone with an (R) after their name is willing to make that case.
