"He might be able to work a calculus problem better than I can. But he can't legislate better than I can."

Reid on Cruz:He can’t talk down to people here because this is the Senate and we’re all really smart

Oh sure, Harry Reid is contributing mightily to the ruination of America, but you've got to give him this: He provide the sort of material that makes writing for a site like this ridiculously easy. As long as Reid is around to run his mouth, it will be possible for people like me to post material without really having to offer much comment.
From our liberal friends at Talking Points Memo:
"Ted Cruz is smart," Reid said. "He has always been able to talk down to people. He is now in the Senate. People are as smart as he is. He can't talk down to anyone anymore. But he has still not accepted that in his own head. He still thinks he's smarter than everybody else. He might be able to work a calculus problem better than I can. But he can't legislate better than I can."

Feel free to suggest the names of some people - aside from Ted Cruz, who is an obvious choice - who can certainly legislate better than Harry Reid. Stretch your mind and consider the possibilities. Kato Kaelin. Jose Canseco. Roseanne Barr. My dead cat Domino. Johnny Rotten. I don't want to monopolize. But as for this business about all the so very smart people in the Senate, just as smart as Ted Cruz! Let's roll tape of the latest Mensa candidates who put Cruz to shame. First, Michigan's own Debbie Stabenow:

So just to sum up, it's the U.S. Senate! Everyone is really smart. Oh, and no one can legislate better than Harry Reid, which is why we have such outstanding laws. I hope you know you have been thoroughly chasented, Senator Cruz. And I'll let you explain to Senator Reid what that means.
