The American pseudo-intellectual liberals have no clue how the real world works and are even more clueless about how the world worked throughout human history. Until the beginning of the 19th century, human slavery was just a given part of most cultures all around the world. And more important, that is the only logical way to measure the slavery issue.
These pseudo-intellectual liberals in America seem to be obsessed with idea of using White guilt and modern standards as a reason to have Americans share their guilt and pay for what once was a shameful part of American history but is actually world history.
The reality is that most cultures throughout history have used slaves and have been slaves. And in parts of the world even today, human slavery goes on. Slavery was in existence in the Americas when Columbus arrived in 1492, and the first African slaves arrived in the Americas soon after Columbus.
In American history, White people were not the only owners of Black ethnic African slaves. There were more than 3,700 freed Black men who were owners of Black slaves. Furthermore, American Indian tribes owned Black slaves, some tribes used members of other tribes as slaves, and the Indians even had some White people as slaves.
So, my guilt-ridden liberal friends, who exactly owes who reparations for slavery when your ancestors and my ancestors probably didn’t own slaves and so many American Black people may not even have had American slaves as ancestors? Now knowing the reality, how would you calculate these guilt payments? Remember, somewhere in your family tree, before America, you have slave owners and slaves. So please, just get over it!
However, if you still have overwhelming feelings of guilt, please feel free to use any or all of your own money, as you see fit, to relieve your pangs of guilt. But leave the rest of the American taxpayers out of it. Your guilt is your problem, not theirs.
