All McCarthy did was eliminate the only bargaining chip Republicans had--the power of the purse

Republicans double-crossed us again

Politicians are known for making promises that they have no intention of keeping. We expect that because most politicians will promise anything to get reelected. However, it's infuriating when Republicans claim to be conservative but vote with liberal Democrats, whenever their vote is needed to further the Marxist agenda. It's even more infuriating when they promise one thing and deliver just the opposite. Republicans are famous for double-crossing conservative voters

For example, Republican John McCain, promised to repeal Obamacare (Affordable Care Act) if he won reelection in 2016. Then after being reelected, McCain did the opposite of what he promised to do. He voted against repealing Obamacare. Either McCain put his hatred of President Trump, a fellow Republican, above the promise he made to his constituents, or he never intended to repeal Obamacare in the first place.

It's my conclusion that McCain and other Republicans were counting on Hillary Clinton winning the presidency so they could say, "we passed a bill to repeal Obamacare, like we did when Obama was in office, but President Clinton refused to sign it." They knew Hillary wouldn't sign a repeal of Obamacare, and I believe they were counting on her winning the 2016 election so they could claim they tried to repeal Obamacare.

However, Donald Trump won the election, and he supported repealing Obamacare. As a result, Republicans were forced to vote against repealing it in order to preserve it. On top of that, a large number of Republicans joined their Marxist Democrat comrades to hinder and hamstring the Trump presidency. The deep state bureaucracy, and the Marxist media went after Donald Trump with a vengeance; an unrelenting vengeance that continues to this day.

More recently, Republican Kevin McCarthy promised to cut government spending. After winning the speaker's gavel, McCarthy said, "Our first bill will repeal funding for 87,000 new IRS agents, because the government should be here to help you, not go after you." Then McCarthy and the Republican House came up with the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act, that they knew would never get through the Democrat and RINO controlled Senate; let alone the mentally impaired, would-be dictator in the White House.

Commenting on the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act, Forbes noted: "It is easy to write off as mere symbolism the House vote to rescind nearly all the $80 billion IRS funding increase Congress approved last year. After all, the bill passed by House Republicans will be ignored by the Democrat-controlled Senate. And it would be vetoed by President Joe Biden if it miraculously got to his desk."

The Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act

The Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act, if passed and signed into law, would have defunded the expansion of the Internal Revenue Service. However, Republicans knew when they came up with the bill that the Marxist controlled Senate would never consider it; and even if it did, Der Fuhrer would never sign it into law. However, that didn't stop Republicans from falsely claiming that they defunded the expansion of the IRS through the debt agreement McCarthy made with the Marxist Biden administration.

Moreover, Republicans are claiming that a provision in the debt agreement McCarthy made with Democrats defunded the expansion of the IRS. However, the provision they are talking about only diverts $1.4 billion of the $80 billion already earmarked, by the Inflation and Reduction Act of 2022, to expand the IRS . Even left leaning Forbes contradicts the Republicans claim. According to Forbes, "Debt Deal Cuts $21 Billion Of IRS $80 Billion, 87,000 New IRS Agents Stay."

Whether it's $21 billion or $1.4 billion in cuts to the IRS expansion program, the claim that McCarthy defunded the expansion of the IRS is completely FALSE. It's not true! All McCarthy did was eliminate the only bargaining chip Republicans had--the power of the purse. To reiterate, McCarthy gave away the only bargaining chip that Republicans had. There's nothing in the debt deal that was a win for conservatives. As usual, Republicans sold us out to Marxist Democrats, and then lied about it. Republicans double-crossed us again.
