Now that Ted Cruz's not-a-filibuster is over, political watchdogs have been wondering what the next step in the Obamacare battle will be. The two main options were both focused around raising the debt ceiling. In exchange for increasing the limit, Republicans were expected to either A: make another run at defunding, or B: demand a one year across-the-board delay. Reuters claims to have the answer.
According to the news service:
Republicans in the House of Representatives will demand a one-year delay of full implementation of the 2010 healthcare law known as Obamacare in its opening offer to increase the U.S. debt limit, their leaders announced on Thursday.

Just last week, the administration said that further delays would be unacceptable. Jay Carney announced that “The Congress passed the Affordable Care Act. The president signed it. The Supreme Court upheld it as constitutional. It is providing benefits to millions of Americans today." He was then asked if the administration would entertain the idea of trading delays for budgetary or debt-limit concessions. His one word answer was "No." So, this new strategy is obviously doomed to fail. The President has been very clear that there will be no more delays. Obamacare will be implemented - across the board - on October 1st. No exceptions will be tolerated. Got it?
#Breaking: W.H. delaying another piece of Obamacare - postponing online enrollment in some small-business exchanges scheduled to open Oct. 1 — Politico 44 (@politico44) September 26, 2013
Oops. The Politico is reporting that online small business signups for for the federal exchanges are not ready for prime time. Mom & Pop companies which wish to do so can register by mail, but the much-vaunted ease of acces provided by the internet is nowhere to be seen. As a result, the Obama administration will be implementing another new delay. ...Which it will then refuse to accept. The train wreck continues.
