Review, Remember and Revitalize the Bill of Rights
Today is the day normally set aside to remember and relegate respect for the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States of America. Nonetheless, it is likely that this “normal” weekday will not give enough time, or provide enough motivation, or stimulate enough inspiration to remember or ignite much respect for the protections of our God-given rights. As Americans prepare for holiday festivities and gatherings, it is likely that the Bill of Rights will be an afterthought.
This day of remembrance arrives in the aftermath of the second election season in which evidence indicates irregularities and manipulation of our electoral process. The multiple cracks in the system are being repaired by coating over the cracks with the thin veneer of deniability or accusations of conspiracy theories. Pale-faced political pundits with no respect for the Bill of Rights attempt to hide what they know to be true – there are many enemies to the Bill of Rights because there is waning belief in a system of government based upon God-given rights – because there is waning belief in God and Heaven’s righteous judgment. The first ten amendments to the Constitution, known as the Bill of Rights, are sadly not recognized by a number of Americans today. They were ratified on December 15, 1791, and were instituted as the foundation strives to protect the most basic rights of American citizens. Yet, most Americans do not know these protections of such rights like freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, right to bear arms, the right to peaceful protest (redress of harm to citizens), and those protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. In the past few decades, Americans have been witnessing the slow erosion and eradication of those fundamental freedoms brought about by our government itself – in many cases, no matter which political party prevailed in the elections. The government, for those paying attention with a proper sense of evaluation, is no longer one of the people, by the people, and for the people. It is a government of the political party elites, by political party leadership, and for the sake of perpetuating government control over the people. Those paying attention and who understand are in a unique situation to do more than just whine and # about the deliberate eradication of those fundamental freedoms. It is extremely easy to #, whine and whimper about the attacks upon our freedoms – like spectators at sporting events heckling or yelling at the players or those officiating the event. It is quite another effort that is required of those paying attention to actually take action, by awakening and arising and investing tears, sweat, and possibly even blood to generate actions that will bring about positive changes, and to right the wrongs.

Today, Americans have lost touch with their roots, and drift life tumbleweeds through the winds of turbulence and tribulation

The United States of America was born amongst the constellation of nations so that freedom would have the opportunity to grow, and not just for one kind, but for all kinds of people, from all races, all religions, and ways of life. Today, Americans have lost touch with their roots, and drift life tumbleweeds through the winds of turbulence and tribulation. The roots of the ideals and principles and values of the U.S.A. reside in the Judeo-Christian heritage our Founding Fathers bequeathed to their descendants. The moral underpinning for the government was evoked in the Declaration of Independence – a document that secular humanists and atheists ridicule and mock because it proclaims the God-given rights of all humanity. Those rights, those freedoms, were delineated in the Constitution of the United States in the first ten amendments and were intended to ensure the God-given, inalienable freedoms for the American people, for future generations, and for humanity. It is only natural that people look back upon the words of incredible value within our founding documents in these turbulent times. The idea of amendments that could provide the bedrock legal foundation of the nation is unique, but the fact that they ensured protection for the citizens from common abuses inflicted upon the people by most governments of the day was crucial to the survival of a free people and a free society. It still is – but it requires the people to hold onto such self-evident truths and to truly take ownership of those freedoms – but spectators are not true owners.

This will be a first step in holding on to the self-evident truths and in keeping the Republic

Americans who truly cherish the freedoms we have enjoyed through two centuries need to assume ownership of what we have inherited; true owners take action when destruction of the God-given rights are imminent. While pondering the significance of the recent threatening and destructive events, it is a good time to re-evaluate the fundamental values that are the bedrock of the United States. Especially at this time in history, it is important to consider what honestly differentiates Americans from other peoples around the world. Americans are those individuals who are called by God to promote, protect and preserve the rights He gave so that freedom would have the opportunity to grow and permeate the planet. It is well past time for true Americans to show their true colors and re-embrace the self-evident truths of the Declaration of Independence and the principles and ideals of the Constitution. The Bill of Rights needs to be brought down from the shelves and dusted off. It is time to reconnect to these precious freedoms, not just as spectators but as true owners of the Republic. This will be a first step in holding on to the self-evident truths and in keeping the Republic. The Bill of Rights: A Transcription | National Archives
