Rubio destroys Jeb's $20 Million attack plan with one simple ad

If the New York Times is to be believed, Jeb Bush is terrified of Marco Rubio. He's also furious that Rubio has decided to be a little upstart and challenge his rightful ascension to the GOP nomination. So, the Bush campaign figures it's time to destroy the thorn in their side. To that end, they - and at least one of their allied PACs - are going on offense. They're about to dig into their war chest, and they openly admit the goal is to damage Marco Rubio.

The cash-rich group aiding Jeb Bush’s White House run has filmed a provocative video casting his rival Marco Rubio as ultimately unelectable because of his hard-line stand against abortion. That group, which has raised more than $100 million, has asked voters in New Hampshire how they feel about Mr. Rubio’s skipping important votes in the Senate. ...And the group’s chief strategist has boasted of his willingness to spend as much as $20 million to damage Mr. Rubio’s reputation and halt his sudden ascent in the polls, according to three people told of the claim.
We hate to break it to them, but that's going to be $20 million wasted dollars. Simply put, their candidate has no credibility when it comes to attacking Rubio. After years of glowing support for his sudden rival, it's going to take a lot more than mere cash for Bush to land a punch. The Rubio camp obviously knows this, and they've decided to head off the attacks before they're even launched. The following spot should pretty much decimate Bush's $20 Million dollar scheme. The sad thing is that Bush is better than this. His campaign has been a train wreck, and we get that he's grasping at straws, but he has to know he's not going to turn things around by slinging mud. If it's not happening, it's not happening. There's no shame in that. Rather than go scorched-Earth as his campaign collapses, he should bow out with a little dignity.
