And it’s about time somebody said it with pride and dignity.

Friday, Congressman Evan Bayh announced that he would not run for re-election. His reason was that he was encountering too much partisanship, which has reportedly brought the U.S. Senate to a standstill. [see various articles around the web.]

Can I share something with you?

Lady Liberty herself is partisan.

In a time when dependency is a commodity to trade in, and where there are more millionaires in the Democrat party than anywhere else in government, one has to appreciate that defending your position of independence from excessive government is more than reasonable, it is survival.

And survival is partisan, it seems. It is partisan to advocate Independence from our public servants.

The subtitle of my hardcover book is Meeting Dependency and Violent Crime with American Spirit, Independence, and Citizen Authority.

Because Lady Liberty is Partisan. And so is her independence from our public servants. She does not need the servants, really, as much as they might like to be needed.

I happen to believe that safer streets will come when the spirit of Independence is reawakened as a matter of personal dignity. I happen to know, historically, that safer streets is a confirmation of self-rule, and evidence of a healthy republic, not having to tolerate anxious tinkering and then settle for a lame democracy. Democracy dooms sovereignty by tyranny, a republic protects it from tyranny by sovereignty. In fact, because Lady Liberty is partisan in a republic, freedom can then protect itself.

The system is not broken, it has been sabotaged. It has been hijacked, brokered by rather competent thieves, fees collected and paid, and title almost perfected and reconveyed. After all, when you turn your personal safety over to someone who has an interest in keeping crisis alive, you won't have safe streets at all. And you won't have safe banking, safe freedoms, nor safe futures.

You'd better believe it. It's alright to believe in your values and to state them clearly as the core of your political activism. It's alright to speak to your constituents that you get it all and would make a good Congressman as a person of integrity and devotion.

It's silly to say otherwise, that partisanship is somehow unwelcome in public service. Are you kidding? We count on it for adherence to their very oath of office.

It is not the Republicans that the Democrats have to worry are partisan, they're only servants acting in the interests of their constituents. What the Dems really have to fear are the constituents who are partisan, and the Libertarian, Conservative and Independent candidates who are partisan on our behalf. On behalf of Liberty.

What does this have to do with gun control? Because gun bans are essential to maintaining crisis, and all subsequent crises, and at a horrible cost to the electorate, including the kids. Break hearts and you soon get a broken spirit in some constituents. Is it enough to break the spirit of Lady Liberty? Not likely. She is partisan.

How would the repeal of gun laws help America? Independence itself would help, independence from gun control, and the first step is to understand that only you are responsible for your own safety. Gun control is then humiliated for the fraud it is, as if government could take your place, and for the vanguard it has become to next generation frauds. Once you grasp this, you begin to understand how all of the boondoggles across the nation were made possible by taking your very first right: before your right to carry a gun, there was your right to carry your first burden that only you could carry. Give the illusion of lifting that first burden — through coercion if necessary - and servants then learn very quickly how they can master lesser quackery and create enormous, sweeping dependency on them. And, it, too, at a horrible cost.

Lady Liberty is partisan. And the way our servants are right now is no way to treat a lady.
