Same Continent, Same Problem

Over the centuries, wisdom and the realities of the foibles of human nature have been thoroughly explored and documented. Since there isn’t anything new, I will rely heavily on historic wisdom to communicate my thoughts on current events.

The truth is that the citizens of the United States of America and Canada have the very same basic problem, even though details may differ.

The truth is that Canada and America have a character flaw problem with most of our elected officials (politicians) and too many of our hired government officials. Most of our politicians have become corrupt, and as a minimum, corrupt enough to assure reelection. The worst of them are corrupt in order to line their own pockets with kickbacks from doing the bidding of their big business foreign or domestic oligarchs.

The corruption of the civil servants is more subtle. They get their pay off by continuing to grow their agencies uselessly, thus creating higher paying jobs because of the size of the agency. I was once one of those, not realizing what I was doing. The federal agency I was with grew by 50% while the workload decreased by 25%. That is how the American federal government got too big to be manage effectively.

How far do we have to look to find a politician who went to public service as a pauper and has become a millionaire or even a multi-millionaire while on the public payroll?

My experience is why every level of government has grown to become far bigger than is necessary to serve the primary purposes of government. What applies in America no doubt applies equally well in Canada. The American Founding Fathers sought to limit the federal government because they understood the foibles of human nature. However, the corruptocrats over the last 100 years have slowly eroded the Founder’s intent and usurped certain responsibilities of the states and the people as defined in the 10th Amendment to the United States Constitution. The government of Canada has mirrored the misdeeds of the United States government.

Both the United States of America and Canada are suffering the effects of creeping socialism that we have allowed to develop over the last half-century. We started drifting from the principles of our founding documents when we blindly accepted such terms as “public sacrifices to the common good.” Those are words that really mean the redistribution of wealth, as explained by Ayn Rand below.

That is why America and Canada have prospered for the last 250 years, and no Marxist-based economy or political system has ever succeeded. Marxism, progressivism, socialism, and communism are historically proven failures contrary to the theoretical premise liberal intellectuals seem to cherish. Liberal intellectuals just don’t understand human nature and how the real world works.

For the last five decades, the Marxists have focused in dumbing down students in the public schools. They have succeeded fairly well with the last couple of generations based on the evidence of the newest generation’s support of socialism and anti-capitalism. These young people, many with horrendous student loan debt, are ignorant about American history, world history, and the history of massive murders of the citizens of Marxist-based societies. These useful idiots have no idea that they are supporting suicide of the culture they grew up in.

How long will the victims of the education system remain stupid? Can we save them from participating in cultural suicide? Only time will tell.

The cultures of both Canada and the United States of America were founded on the principles of Judeo-Christian teachings of the Bible. This has served our respective countries well and should remain foremost in our futures. However, the agents of evil would have us abandon what got us here in favor of their false theoretical utopia. What will we choose?

Adams makes a strong point concerning a “tireless minority.” However, it is a two-edged sword. If used by patriots to protect our founding documents, America and Canada can remain free nations. By the same token, if used by the evil perpetrators that are trying to destroy our countries, it can work that way too. We must decide which future is to be.

Both Canada and America have the best governments money can buy. Sadly, we just don’t know who the hells money is doing the buying. We do know it isn’t our respective taxpayers.

This is the truth and reality as I see it. We the People, with God’s help, must regain control of our out-of-control governments.
