Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR): Hey maybe SCOTUS decisions with Gorsuch shouldn't even count!

In 2016 Democrats lost in spectacular fashion. They bet all their money on the wrong, crooked, horse, and the race came crashing down around them. With that collapse came not just a failure to capture the presidency, but a defeat that encompassed a generation's worth of Supreme Court decisions. As I wrote at the time, the real target of 2016 was our founding document. the SCOTUS nominees that Hillary Clinton planned to offer would - without question - have decimated the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 10th Amendments.

So, whatever misgivings conservatives may have about Donald Trump (and there are legitimate misgivings to be had) they should be thanking God that he stopped Mrs. Clinton's planned ascension. His victory put Neil Gorsuch on the bench and, probably, two more similar nominees in the future. In short, and with no hyperbole, it saved many of your rights. That's why Democrats are still working overtime to de-legitimize Gorsuch. His seat, you see, is stolen. Therefore, we should probably just ignore any decision that bears his name. ...At least, that's the most recent line of denial being offered by prominent Democrats. Just listen to the following clip of Oregon lefty Jeff Merkley, as he questions the validity of anything Gorsuch does as a Justice. Unfortunately, Senator Snowflake, that's not how this works. You don't get to ignore rulings because you don't like the way in which the Justices were appointed. Gorsuch is here to stay. And by the way, that list of judges President Trump liked to wave around during the 2016 election? It's very, very, long. There's a good chance that a few more of those constitution-loving names will find their way to our highest court. Sorry (not sorry) to break that to you...
