Sacramento, Calif –Move America Forward (http://www.moveamericaforward.org) the nation’s largest grassroots pro-troop organization, is calling on Americans to focus on recent revelations that President Obama seemed disinterested and uninformed on the war in Afghanistan, not the miscue of General Stanley McChrystal.

As the Obama administration fumes over General Stanley McChrystal’s comments in the upcoming Rolling Stone article “Runaway General,” the pro-troop group organization is expressing shock that the President of the United States can be disinterested and uninformed on the war against Islamic terrorism in Afghanistan. “The General should have quit and alerted the American people to these shocking facts,” said the group’s Director of Communications, Danny Gonzalez, “but more importantly, this reveals the truth of the frustration and desperation of our military leaders in the face of President Obama’s ambivalence to winning the war in Afghanistan.

Inexcusable that the Obama administration is preoccupied, uninformed, and disinterested in winning the war in Afghanistan

“In a time when America is at war, when the greatest threat to American security is Islamic terrorism, it is appalling and inexcusable that the Obama administration is preoccupied, uninformed, and disinterested in winning the war in Afghanistan. “This episode should serve as a huge wake up call to the American public that President Obama needs to focus on Afghanistan. We owe it to our troops to support them. The unwillingness of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Attorney General Eric Holder and others in the Administration to call our fight against Islamic terrorist the war that it is, now makes sense. They are failing to get the leadership from the President. “The focus of attention seems to be that General Stanley McChrystal should not have been so forthcoming in the Rolling Stone article. But that is ignoring the seriousness of the charges he has leveled against the White House and Obama Administration. We urge President Obama to start acting like a Commander- in-Chief and keep America safe by recommitting to win the war in Afghanistan by giving the military the support they need,” Gonzalez concluded.
