Liberals whined: How the Liberal Party reacted to the photograph being posted on their official website is actually more disturbing than the picture itself

imageSo says the Liberal Party of Canada, otherwise known as Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition. The Liberal Party, no doubt desiring a much needed break from moaning over the treatment of Afghan detainees, decided to hold a contest called “Anywhere but Copenhagen”. They invited the loyalists to send photographs in that depicted Prime Minister Harper anywhere but in Copenhagen for the climate change talks.

The pictures that were sent in were then posted to the party’s official website. One picture that was posted and has since been removed was that of Lee Harvey Oswald being shot by Jack Ruby in the basement of the Dallas police station on November 24, 1963. Stephen Harper’s head was photoshopped onto Oswald’s body. The picture was tasteless to say the least. The party of the long gun registry obviously has no problem with posting a picture of the prime minister of Canada being blown away by a gunman. Then again, considering the stellar performance of the last two Liberal leaders, a couple of well placed bullets might be the only way the official opposition could ever get rid of Stephen Harper. All the arguments have been made about the effect such a picture would have on Harper’s wife and children. They say that in politics, timing is everything. Current Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff has a lot to learn about timing. His “Stephen Harper, your time is up” statement that was followed by no attempt whatsoever to bring down the government proves this. And the fact that the Harper assassination photo was posted following the attack on Silvio Berlusconi that left the Italian prime minister seriously injured, further illustrates how disgusting the Liberals really are. Those on the left just love to play the victim card and in this case, the Liberals were no exception. How the Liberal Party reacted to the photograph being posted on their official website is actually more disturbing than the picture itself. The Liberals whined that the picture was not an official Liberal Party picture; the party had neither created nor paid for by the party. It was an individual that created it and sent it in. Yep, the person who thought up the picture (that was actually funnier than most of the other pictures) was all to blame. The Liberals want to see Stephen Harper and the Conservatives defeated. The only reason they want the government brought down is so that they can run the country. The Liberals have shown that they are totally incapable of running a website so how can they be expected to run the country. The party brass is just lucky that none of the pictures posted consisted of child pornography; if they had they would undoubtedly have been posted on the site by the same incompetents that posted the assassination photo. The Liberals only removed this picture and another silly one when the existence of the photographs hit the media. The Liberals’ friends in the media are attempting to defend the party by making the point that Harper started all this with the “pooping puffin”. The Conservatives showed former leader Stéphane Dion being pooped on by a bird. If there really is a similarity to the two, no doubt if the Liberals ever regain power they will create a pooping puffin registry. As tacky as the pooping puffin was, there is no comparison between that and the killing of a Canadian prime minister. The Liberals, who like to portray themselves as the only party that holds Canadian values, clearly saw nothing wrong with a picture depicting the Canadian prime minister being shot until the fact of the photo was exposed. The Liberals were awarding prizes to the winners of the “Anywhere but Copenhagen” contest. The prizes consisted of a t-shirt and a mug. A t-shirt and a mug! Those that think that Liberals are nothing more than a bunch of bastards now know that they are a bunch of cheap ones too.
