Stop religious cleansing of Christians, says Jewish human rights group

TORONTO, – B’nai Brith Canada has reiterated its call to action to speak out against the persecution of Christians following the repeated and concerted attacks by militant Islamists against the Christian community in Nigeria. This follows on the latest attack on Christians in Northern Nigeria during their prayer services.

Frank Dimant, CEO of B’nai Brith Canada stated, “The dire plight of the Christian community in Nigeria and their systematic persecution is nothing short of an attempt at religious cleansing. The world cannot stay silent as this campaign continues. Countries, including Canada, have rightly condemned the recent attacks, but it is crucial that the world not stand by and let this continue. International organizations such as the United Nations must step in immediately to find a way to protect this religious minority.”
