Stuck in the '60s, John Lewis is not a voice of anything positive today

John Lewis. He is just the latest example of people and organizations looking for relevance in all the wrong places. Not attending the opening of a civil rights museum in Mississippi because President Trump attends is not a civil rights statement. It is a dated divisive statement for the few people who continue to think his actions and protests are relevant. John Lewis's actions, which get media attention, are not relevant, and most people do not care. Most of us have moved on past the America of the 1960s.

The Democrats, the liberals and the liberal media have decided to label President Trump a racist. This is based on nothing more than having a black attendee to one of his rallies thrown out for trying to disrupt his rally. I would have thrown him out too! It wasn't about color. It was about civility and respect, and that guy did not have the right to try to hijack candidate Trump's rally. Since that time the liberals have tried to get the racist label to stick, and John Lewis is one person who has drunk the Kool-Aid. There are lots of black people in the Trump Administration. If he were racist, there would be none! The racist label constantly repeated by Democrats and liberals is illogical and has no basis in fact. America is racist only through the narrow lens of the media, and the narrow minds of people like John Lewis. Yes, he is a civil rights icon for what he went through in the ’50s and ’60s, but he is not a voice of inclusion and positive change today. America is not racist outside of the Democrat Party, the Congressional Black Caucus, the NAACP and the narrow lens of the liberal media. Just ask the people you see and talk to in your daily lives. When I see a 3 percent economic growth rate, a surging and optimistic stock market and a historically low unemployment rate, I see green. I don't see black or white. I don't see racism, I don't see a divided America. I see a United States of America that is not stuck in the 1950's and 1960's. I see America getting better again.
