Countries like Russia and China must find the U.S. system of governance totally beyond their comprehension.
In their wildest dreams they couldn't imagine putting their political problems on show for the whole world to see. However, for the rest of us, watching the stupid behaviour of both Republicans and Democrats, the wise words of W.B. Yeats ring down the years to describe them perfectly: "The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity." William Bedford
