The eminent British Doctor, and former editor of The British Medical Journal, Richard Smith says that cancer is the best way to die as it gives patients time to say good bye to all their friends and loved ones.

Therefore, says Smith, we should cease funding the search for a cancer cure. You would think Dr. Smith would know there are many diseases, such as tuberculosis, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's, to name a few of them, that take a long time in killing us. So, using Smith's logic we should quit searching for a cure for any of them. William Bedford
