Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is thrilled to announce that phenomenal April results led to a new all-time monthly sales record. Total sales reached 2,640 units, marking a 28.8 percent increase over last April and besting the previous monthly record, set in September 2009, by 3.8 percent. April also marks the fourth consecutive month of sales growth this year, further strengthening Subaru Canada's position as the fastest growing Japanese manufacturer in 2010.

The Subaru Outback and Legacy sedan both strongly contributed to the best month in SCI's history. Outback set an all-time monthly record as sales climbed to 672 units, up 4.6 percent from the previous record set just last month. Outback's outstanding results also toppled the previous record for April sales, set in 2002, by 81.1 percent. It was also a record-breaking month for the Legacy sedan as sales rose by an astounding 90.6 percent over the previous record for April sales, set in 2002. "We attribute our strong sales momentum to a number of factors working in our favour: the quality and reliability of our Japanese engineering, the award-winning safety standards our symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive vehicles are known for, and the right price and attitude at the dealerships," said Katsuhiro Yokoyama, president and CEO of SCI. "This new all-time monthly sales record reflects the positive consumer reaction to our well-balanced lineup."
