Recently, the Flu virus has spread to the Middle East and New Zealand. It started from Mexico and Japan . Once Mexico started having it, they experienced many deaths and illnesses. The fact the Swine Flu has spread to so many places means the Swine Flu is very easily contagious. Yet many sick Mexicans cut across American borders and infect Americans living here. What the Obama administration should be doing is implementing stricter measures to keep the illegal entrants out of our country and quarantining them in huge numbers. This also includes Non-Mexican illegals, as well.
Independently of the Flu virus, illegal immigration is wrong due to how foreigners (Mexican and otherwise) break the laws of our country during and after they cross the US border. However, the Flu virus makes it more urgent to stem the tide of illegal immigration. Now, Americans near the border not only have the violent drug dealers to contend with but also infected illegals. Only a small number of illegals avoid doing any killings or other serious crimes---other than illegally crossing the border into the US . With the flu virus, however, some nonviolent illegals will wind up unwittingly killing Americans they come into contact with or at least making them very sick. So illegal entrants with the flu virus increase the danger to Americans. If the foreign thugs don't kill them, flu infected illegals will.
Obama's lack of effective solutions is extremely irresponsible and unethical on his part. He does not want to offend the Mexican contingent in America , wants their support and wants to reward criminality by legalizing illegal immigrants. This is why Obama does not crack down on illegal immigration. Aside from being corrupt and "politically correct", his approach puts Americans at greater risk. Obama cares more about catering to minorities than he does about doing the right thing (i.e. saving American citizens’ lives from infected illegal entrants).
At the same time, Mexico is urging travellers not to take trips there. In fact, Mark Stevenson's article, "Mexico death toll stabilizes as epidemic spreads" notes, "...Mexico was eliminating reasons for tourists to visit." So from the Mexican government's own admission, Mexican citizens are infected with the virus. That is all the more reason to deny Mexican illegals entry into the US. But other illegal foregners must be denied access to America and quarantined due to the Swine Flu's increasingly larger spread to various countries.
Since America has better medical facilities than Mexico and some third world countries, US doctors have better chances of preventing Flu victims from dying. If we supported that with zealous methods of arrest and quarantining of illegals, that will definitely slow down spread of the virus here in the US.
There is also the possibility that this new strain of virus (Swine Flu) was engineered by unscrupulous scientists working for terrorists. Islamic terrorists want to impose a global Islamic dictatorship and destroy free nations that can stop them. Not only will nuclear bombs serve their deranged purpose, but so will biochemical and virus related weapons. From a terrorist's perspective, using a virus-weapon can kill more people in a wider area than can blowing up a restaurant in Tel Aviv. These terrorists are also used by dictatorships like Saddam Hussein's former regime and the current Iranian Islamic dictatorship to demoralize free nations. Even China's dictatorial goverment has a war manual, "Unrestricted Warfare", which promotes the use of bacteriological and other WMDs for destroying America without using troops and tanks.
Even if terrorists did not cause this Swine flu, US-hating terrorists will doubtlessly observe the numerous deaths in many countries and think of duplicating it. That is why every free country's government must not be blindsided into thinking the Swine Flu epidemic is solely based on one problem (health). Health should be a very big concern since we do want to save people from the Swine Flu. However, steeped-up terror plans for a bacteriological WMD must also be considered.
The Swine Flu's death toll would also be a "good" opportunity for the terrorists to strike again somewhere in the free world. Heightened vigilance is needed by America and infected allies. All free nations must help one another squash the Swine flu epidemic, illegal immigration, and terrorism.
