Tesla Owners are Buying Guns in Record Numbers

While the evidence is only anecdotal at this point, it appears that the Left has been making effective arguments for 2nd Amendment rights in their recent efforts to intimidate Tesla owners. Several accounts have now surfaced of Tesla owners being threatened and their vehicles vandalized by activists and other idiots seeking to harm Elon Musk financially.

The result of such activities is that many Tesla owners are now purchasing guns for self defense. Many are also seeking concealed carry permits in places where such permits are required. Even in California, where the Left wants to ban a citizens' ability to defend themselves, concealed carry training is growing in popularity among Tesla owners.

The essential right to self defense enshrined in our 2nd Amendment to the Constitution

This attempt to intimidate Tesla owners, and others who are perceived, rightly or wrongly, to hold conservative values is a great boon to 2nd Amendment supporters and those who point out the great value, even necessity, of effective self defense. It has been said that a conservative is just a liberal who has been mugged. That seems to apply to Tesla owners as well.

These Leftist thugs have been encouraged in their activities by media mavens and even by some elected officials. The usual excuse is that they are protecting "democracy". That is no version of democracy that I recognize.

This tactic of violent intimidation is characteristic of those who can offer no good, persuasive argument for their positions, and instead must resort to threats and violence to force submission.

The tactics are those employed by the Brown Shirts of Nazi Germany, and the Black Shirts of Fascist Italy, reflecting the true roots of the Left in both ideologies. With no disrespect to ducks intended, if it quacks like a duck....

Without raising or encouraging the sedition aspects of such activities, we can recognize the great value of these violent demonstrations and attempts at intimidation in reaffirming the huge importance of gun rights to a free and peaceful citizenry.

Since the days when people carried long pointy objects around in order to defend themselves, to when the personal weapons of patriots successfully resisted European tyranny, through the times in this country when the Colt 45 was the "Great Equalizer", we have often had to be reminded of the value of the essential right to self defense enshrined in our 2nd Amendment to the Constitution,.

We can be thankful to the Left for their current efforts to remind us once again of this right.
