These are indeed the times that try men's souls, the times of testing to see if we will have the courage and resolve to live as free men and women, or if, instead, we will submit and accept the chains of slavery forever more.

The Assassination and Persecution of Donald J Trump as Performed by the Progressive Marxist Minions Under the Direction of the Marquis de Smith

There is a real danger that if the Left fails to remove Donald Trump as a candidate for President, they will resort to assassination to prevent him from taking office. They believe, in their false assessments, that if they can only eliminate the MAGA leader, the followers will be intimidated, demoralized and sufficiently discouraged to submit to the yoke of Leftist domination.

They are badly mistaken.

Overnight, the Democrat party would cease to exist

I truly hope and pray that they do not go that far, and that if they do make such an attempt, their aim be bad, their powder wet, and their plans frustrated. Should they even make the attempt, though, the results would be far from any they might expect.

Overnight, the Democrat party would cease to exist. No Democrat would ever again be elected to any office, no matter how much election fraud they attempted. There are thousands of people working across the country to find and expose the mechanisms of fraud. They would ensure that any attempts to cheat would be exposed and no judge would dare to dismiss a case and no law enforcement dare to ignore evidence.

The FBI might send out their teams as they have before to arrest opposition, but we have lots of people with experience with operations in hostile countries—countries who developed measures all too effective against the teams who wished to prevent terrorists from acting. We learned. A few raids to arrest innocent friends and neighbors, and those methods would be applied against the federal agents. Again, not something I advocate, but inevitable under such circumstances.

The Left hopes to provoke a civil war

The Left would want to bring forth their purged military against all the "insurrectionists". I suspect that there would be more than a few instances of that time-honored tradition of "fragging" to discourage military action. That doesn't even take into account all the misunderstood orders, all the equipment that somehow got sent to the wrong depot or needs immediate maintenance, and all the other ways to make bad orders go awry.

The Left lusts to bring out their F-16s and Abrams tanks to try to strike fear into the hearts of patriots. They forget that those assets are supported by the very communities against whom they might be used. They would soon run out of pilots, drivers, fuel, and parts, not to mention food and water.

Real Americans do not intimidate easily. Attempts at intimidation generally result in increased resistance. The Left hopes to provoke a civil war that they believe would give them what they want. We know that such a war would destroy our country and give free rein to our enemies. There are more ways to resist and more ways to stop the Left than outright warfare.

Trump is the people's choice--only candidate that has shown the resolve, strength to stand up to the Left and the Deep State

We can hope that the Left will come to its senses and realize that even their most extreme efforts will not gain them what they wish. The history of fanaticism, though, suggests that they would rather burn everything to the ground and rule over the ashes rather than give up their power. They are now sufficiently exposed that many of them would suffer severe consequences for their actions. These conditions do not encourage them to stop. For too many, it is "win or bust".

We must be watchful for the fires they would ignite and extinguish them before they lead to a conflagration. Fortunately, we have lots of fire fighters on our side.

Some are arguing that a felony conviction of Donald Trump is inevitable given the number of charges against him. Should he be convicted, the argument goes, people would not vote for a convicted felon, even if it was obvious that the charges were baseless, and politically motivated. They suggest abandoning Trump now, and throwing support behind an alternative candidate.

To adopt the suggested course would be to give in to fear and hand control to the Left forever more.

Trump is the people's choice and the only candidate that has shown the resolve and strength to stand up to the Left and the Deep State. Yes, a felony conviction, or worse, would be a blow, but such a blow would only further awaken the citizenry to what is at stake now.

We are at a crossroads. In one direction lies an increasingly totalitarian state

We are at a crossroads. In one direction lies an increasingly totalitarian state that will use false claims of a climate crisis to further impoverish us, who will use excuses of a new disease to restrict our liberties, and who will so control our elections that we will only have the illusion of choice of those who would be our rulers.

In the other direction lies a difficult path, but one that restores the liberties that have been slowly eroded away, that restores our freedom to speak openly, to travel where and as we wish, and live our lives as we choose, not as others choose for us. We reject their lust for the power to compel us, to bend us to their will instead of our own.

Now is not the time to abandon Trump—neither the man nor the Idea. Should the Left eliminate the man, we will have proof positive of what would lie in store for the rest of us. The Idea will abide.

These are indeed the times that try men's souls, the times of testing to see if we will have the courage and resolve to live as free men and women, or if, instead, we will submit and accept the chains of slavery forever more.

I know what my choice is.
