The Audacity of Obvious:  Obama May Not be Centrist?

It is always inspiring to observe the remarkable gift of the ability to see the excruciatingly obvious. However, it may be premature to break out the 2012 party hats. The reported Obama Awakenings, while welcome, may not be absolute evidence that America is shaking off its ether and coming to its collective senses.

But conservatives who see, and always did see Obama for what he is, are hoping the rest of the country snaps out of this and gets itself to a 12 step recovery program without delay. It was never possible that Obama could govern as a “centrist” or a “moderate”. He doesn’t even know what that would look like. Any review of Obama’s childhood, mentors and current crop of creepy, dangerous, America- hating friends makes it abundantly clear that this is a man with nary a “moderate” thought in his head. His parents were radicals, his childhood utter chaos. One early childhood mentor was Frank Marshall Davis, a communist so far left that the NAACP rejected him. Obama landed in Chicago and wasted no time getting himself on the board of deranged domestic terrorist William Ayers’ “educational” foundation. Obama, with no experience managing anything, was promptly given the authority to hand out millions of dollars to anti- American radical causes. The deeper we go into the history and psychology of Barack Obama the more difficult it becomes to find a sane person. To anyone who continues to insist that Obama is a “moderate”: I direct your attention to the Ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto. This is not the time to jump up and down and cheer “I told you so!” The official time for that was last week at CPAC 2009. As inspiring as it was to see nearly 9000 people so enthused again about conservatism, we are nowhere near out of trouble yet. The question the big brains in the media should be asking is not: gee, how did we miss this? The correct question is: how could you have ever expected anything different? It is easy to look at Obama’s freakish rise to power as a simple straight line trajectory brought about by an enabling media and Soros money. That’s not wrong, but the events that allowed this cult leader to take the White House are far more complex and multilayered. Nobody should be allowed to use the term Perfect Storm anymore, but that is what it took to allow this catastrophe to strike us. The Obama mass movement didn’t start a few years ago at the Democratic convention. It started with our own history. The ground was softened for Obama decades ago as the country allowed anti- American radicals to infest all levels of government, including the Department of Education. According to Phyllis Schlafly, Obama’s good friend Ayers is pushing the current “social justice” education agenda. Ignore the name; it’s just more warmed over washed out hippie code for: America sucks, let’s wreck it. There was an alarming lack of collective alarm when people fainted at Obama concerts and pictures of Obama wearing halos started to appear. It’s safe to say no politician in history has ever been quite as visible as Barack Obama. So how did over half of the voting population get the notion that Barack Obama was anything other than an American hating, radical, narcissistic cult leader? Former CBS News anchor, Bernard Goldberg talked to Sean Hannity of Fox News about the disconnect between Obama’s truly horrific handling of his first few weeks in office and his high approval numbers. Yes, people see that things have gotten worse since Obama took office. They see the stock market in a death spiral along with a rather sizeable collection of foreign policy gaffes in his first few days on the job including deeply offending our staunchest ally in the free world. Yet, Obama ‘s approval rating hovers around 60%. We probably have to go back and give some credit to our friend Bill Ayers again. Goldberg minced no words telling Hannity that America has gotten really, really dumb. In fact without a grand scale dumbing down of our nation, there would be no Obama cult. While it is inspiring to hear so many conservatives all fired up about reclaiming the country in 2010 and 2012 we don’t have the mathematics right now. What conservatives must not do now is rely on Obama’s screwing up to become some kind of campaign platform for our side. Sure, he will screw up on a scale never before imagined. But it’s naïve to think that the American public will hold him accountable for it. If the nation is starting to gradually come out of the denial stage, conservatives can get ahead and well into the acceptance stage of this national tragedy. We have to let go of the wait for the Perry Mason magic moment when the truth about Obama is revealed. It’s revealed constantly, heck, you can’t avoid the guy for a 24 hour news cycle. Break ups are always tough. Break ups with narcissists can be dangerous. As Bernie Goldberg warned: it is going to be difficult for America to fall out of love with Obama.
