I have to be honest with you folks, when I first learned of Donald Trump’s announcement of his candidacy for President of the United States back on June 6, 2015, I, like many in the nation I presume, did not really take the guy for real at all. I thought the real estate mogul, reality T.V. celebrity, and marketing genius, was, once again, just using the “political arena”, as a gimmick for God knows what ulterior motive to add a couple of billions more to the existing cornucopia – anything and everything other than really aspiring to becoming the 45th POTUS.

Over time, as the campaign progressed, I could not help but to find myself, slowly but surely changing my mind as to how I perceived this man. At first, Mr. Trump continued coming across as the odd-man out. You could tell he did not belong, or so we thought. His condescendence amongst a well-groomed cluster of elitist politicians, driven mostly by political correctness and deferential brownnosing, just made the guy unique enough to where many, specially in the mainstream media just wrote him off completely. There was no way this man could be a presidential contender, we all thought. Just no way. Most all political experts, you remember, agreed that it was a matter of time before the long-haired buffoon, with the irrepressible smirk and the bulging lips would be out the race for good. All the while as a universe of, inexact, mistaken, and inaccurate polls and pollsters continued pounding their imprecisions on our already misguided perceptions – a tribute to our collective denial if you will.
And then came November 8th, as the impossible, the impervious, the unimaginable happened when the odd-man-out, the flamboyant outsider, the vainglorious braggadocio was unexpectedly elected as the 45th President of the United States of America, on what will probably go down as one of [the] greatest upsets in political history, bar none. But then again, not even the fact that the man had won by a landslide victory of electoral votes, was enough to make a believer out of many in the voting universe, including those who had voted for him. There was, if you will, a lingering trail of disbelief as to what the man was all about, still is.
To me, personally, eight years of Barack Hussein Obama, had been as close as the nation had ever come to Armageddon, to the end of the Constitutional Republic as willed by the forefathers. There were times when I thought the nation had, in fact, reached the end of an era, the end of our supremacy as a world’s super-power and bastion of freedom for mankind. I truly thought we were coming close to the ‘beginning-of-the-end’, as had most dynasties, empires and kingdoms throughout history. All in all, I thought my fellow Americans had succumbed to a New World Order, the likes of which, could only lead us to a path of self-destruction.

Meantime, the more I heard of Donald Trump’s claims and issues in his political platform throughout the campaign trail, the more his messages resonated with me as some sort of Messianic clamor of everything I had hoped for to save the nation from the inevitable doomsday encounter I anticipated had Hillary Clinton become our next President. At the beginning, mind you, I thought I was but a small part of a headstrong shrinking minority of conservative nationalists, whose noble ideals had waned away amidst a national revolt, which even dared try ridding the nation of God and the religious values which had served as the foundation for our nation’s greatness. It was that bad.
Somewhere along the line, I thought, the Donald Trump phenomenon was all too good to be true. Such was the state of despair and desolation – such was the state of hopelessness, which eight years of Obama had instilled in me, only to realize on November 8th, that God had, as He always does, blessed our nation and was unwilling to let His enemies, the Anti-Christs of the world, just take over. I not only realized there was renewed hope again, but better yet, I realized that there were 62,979,879 fellow-Americans, who shared in my wishes to reclaim the nation from the evil empire – a revival, if you will, of what real Americans are all about.
As the transition of the presidency was taking place, between November 8th, 2016 and January the 20th, of the new year 2017, Mr. Trump’s choices for his Cabinet appointments and top officials of the new Administration became a telltale sign of reassurance to Americans, that in fact, Mr. Trump was who he said he was. Each of Trump’s appointees, embodied the qualifications, principles and convictions intrinsically needed to carry on with Trump’s platform and main theme which claimed “A New America”.
On Friday, January 20th, during the inauguration and swearing-in of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America, I could not help being overcome with emotion as tears ran down my face, while I saw the marching bands parading in front of the presidential booth, while our new President and Vice-President, saluted the walkers alongside their families. As far as I was concerned the grandiosity of the spectacle was but a tribute to all Americans to the fact that we had, indeed, reclaimed the Republic, one which we had almost lost. The rioting and disturbances of Trump haters, were, as far as I was concerned, a welcome sight to remind us all, what we had been spared of.

Trumps eminent war against a corrupt liberal mainstream media
Notwithstanding the greatness of the transition, and, once the pomp of the inauguration had all come to an end, it still remained as an unknown what the newly-discovered phenomenon christened with the name of Donald Trump, would be like as acting President of the most powerful nation in the world. Would Mr. Trump live up to the campaign pledges in his political platform? Or, would he, instead, capitulate to the establishment, now that he had made it to the top? These were the questions in everyone’s minds. The answers to which we would quickly ascertain while in the short-span of eight days since he first took office, now President Trump, began his tenure with whirlwind energy, like never before seen of in any of the past Presidents, proving to the nation yet one more time, that this ‘avant-garde’ and ‘unconventional’ specimen known as Donald Trump, was one of a kind, like nothing the nation had ever seen before.
But, just like the adage says, ‘the proof is in the pudding’. Never so true as in Trump’s case. Listed below are some of the actions undertaken by Mr. Trump in the 8 days since he was inaugurated to the office of the President on January 20th:
Signed executive order aimed at rolling back Obamacare.
Signed executive order to build wall at the southern border.
Signed executive order to cut federal funding to “sanctuary” cities.
Issued memoranda to rollback regulation on small business and manufacturing.
Issued order to "streamline and expedite … environmental reviews and approvals for all infrastructure projects."
Signed executive order barring taxpayer’s dollars from being used to fund non-governmental organizations "providing counseling or referrals for abortion or advocating for access to abortion services in their country."
Signed order withdrawing the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership Trade Agreement negotiations.
Signed executive order with plan to renegotiate NAFTA- Mexico-Canada pact.
Signed memorandum to government agencies prohibiting filling vacant or new positions and directing the Office of Management and Budget to formulate a plan to "reduce the size of the Federal Government's workforce through attrition."
Signed orders clearing Obama roadblocks for the Dakota Access pipeline and the Keystone XL pipeline.
Ordered the Secretary of Commerce to come up with a plan to ensure that all new pipelines built or repaired in the U.S. use equipment and materials produced in the U.S.
Signed two executive orders that dramatically expand the nation's military and call for so-called "extreme vetting" of visa seekers from terror-plagued countries — moves aimed at strengthening the U.S. response to terrorism both home and abroad. In signing the order, Trump pledged to "keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America."
Notably, each and every single one of Trump’s undertakings have been but a testament to the pledges he made during his campaign. By now, it should not come to anyone’s surprise anymore that Donald Trump is the real deal. What you see, dear friends, is what you get. Every time I turn on my T.V., and listen to the op-eds, editorials, headline news, and tweeters, now surrounding most sound bites of the man and his fearless stance on the issues, his eminent war against a corrupt liberal mainstream media. His outspoken viewpoints - whether it be the issue of immigration and healthcare reform, the defeat of ISIS and Jihadist terrorism in the world, the protection of our borders, the demise of sanctuary cities, or whether it be his open view on ‘waterboarding’, the building of new pipelines, the renegotiation of all bilateral multi-national Agreements, the withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific partnership Trade Agreement, the expansion of our military or the futility of a Global Warming threat, with obsessed Environmentalism, every time I hear this man speak, I hear myself speaking and cannot help but praise the Lord for affording us the opportunity to save the nation. At times, I still do have to pinch myself to realize that is not just ‘too-good-to-be-true’, but it is in fact that good and that true, both. For that I am thankful to God and to all of you my fellow Americans who helped vote this man in to office – for renewing the faith in our love for God and country.
May God save America and may God lead our new leader Donald Trump in his quest to bring us back into a New America.
