The Biden-Harris Booming Economy Lie Just Got Kneecapped

Most of us work and do our best to care for our families and those close to us. We can see with our own eyes that the prices of food, gas, and clothing have drastically increased, not to mention homeowners' insurance, renters' insurance, car insurance, and medical care.

We know this despite the current administration repeatedly telling us that we don’t know what we’re talking about and that everything is fine. They have such a disconnect with the American people that they think that if they say it, then it must be so, and we will blindly believe them and move on.

This administration has also told us ad nauseam what a great job they have done creating jobs, which we also know is just another lie. The economy and job markets were booming under Trump until the left’s COVID “plandemic” destroyed them. The jobs that they have been bragging about aren’t new jobs at all. They are just replacing jobs that were lost during COVID. Worse, the majority of the jobs are government jobs, and the last thing we need is a larger government.

Today, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released a benchmark revision on the job market. The report shows a downward revision on previously reported non-farm-related jobs that were overestimated by a whopping 818,000.

“In accordance with usual practice, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is announcing the preliminary estimate of the upcoming annual benchmark revision to the establishment survey employment series. The final benchmark revision will be issued in February 2025 with the publication of the January 2025 Employment Situation news release.

“Each year, the Current Employment Statistics (CES) survey employment estimates are benchmarked to comprehensive counts of employment for the month of March. These counts are derived from state unemployment insurance (UI) tax records that nearly all employers are required to file. For National CES employment series, the annual benchmark revisions over the last 10 years have averaged plus or minus one-tenth of one percent of total nonfarm employment. The preliminary estimate of the benchmark revision indicates an adjustment to March 2024 total nonfarm employment of -818,000 (-0.5 percent).

“Preliminary benchmark revisions are calculated only for the month of March 2024 for the major industry sectors in Table 1. The existing employment series are not updated with the release of the preliminary benchmark estimate. The data for all CES series will be updated when the final benchmark revision is issued.

"Table 1 shows the March 2024 preliminary benchmark revisions by major industry sector. As is typically the case, many of the individual industry series show larger percentage revisions than the total nonfarm series, primarily because statistical sampling error is greater at more detailed levels than at an aggregated level.”

Some might call this “cooking the books.” Others may say it was “stretching the truth;” personally, I call it lying. Then there is another question: how many jobs actually went to Americans?

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, 183,000 fewer native-born Americans are employed than in 2019, prior to Covid, while the number of working immigrants (both legal and illegal) has increased by 2.9 million.

President Trump correctly called the fraudulent job numbers “a terrible insult to our economy.” Sadly, it’s typical of the lies and deception of the current administration and one more reason to rally behind and elect Donald Trump in November.
