Gore and the rest of the utopian Left are going to help us, even if it kills us

The Devil and Al Gore

"Now I am become Death, Destroyer of Worlds"--J. Robert Oppenheimer Al Gore - the man who was a hair's breath away from being President of the United States - is calling for world population control.
According to The Daily Caller:
"Gore was on a panel at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland last week titled "Changing the Climate for Growth and Development." The panel looked at global development through a "climate lens" and included other world leaders such as United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg. "Depressing the rate of child mortality, educating girls, empowering women and making fertility management ubiquitously available--so women can choose how many children and the spacing of children--is crucial to the future shape of human civilization," Gore said on an international panel on global warming last week."
I am confused; how does "depressing the rate of child mortality" aid the climate? Isn't his entire argument predicated on the notion that there are too many people? Why would he want to depress the rate of child mortality? And what on Gaia's Green Earth does educating girls or empowering women have to do with reducing greenhouse gas emissions? Won't empowered women drive cars, for instance?

Gore illustrates exactly why we "deniers" do not believe this is about science but about political transformation; every left-wing cause has been folded into this issue. Gore's argument doesn't make a damned lick of sense, but it is not supposed to; it's intended to have an emotional appeal, not a reasoned argument.

Population control is the Holy Grail of the Left, and has been since Thomas Malthus

Population control is the Holy Grail of the Left, and has been since Thomas Malthus. Why, you ask? Because the State seeks to usurp the throne of God, and be the decider of life and death. The Rousseauian concept of the Collective Will, which essentially argues that the State is the embodiment of the general will of the People and so should not be limited, must exert it's right to override the will of the individual. One of the most fundamental rights is the right to reproduce, and society has not seriously impeded that right before. It used to be assumed that Children came from God and were a gift from God, but the modern Left seeks to be the decider of such things, to cut Divine Will out of the equation, to empower the Collective Will of Man. This is why abortion is so important to liberals; it gives them the power to arbitrarily decide who has the right to live. It is why they support euthanasia. It is why they support universal healthcare. All of these instances grant them the illusion of equality with the Most High.

Al Gore calls for "fertility management"

And so when a man like Al Gore calls for "fertility management" he means empowering the State - and the International Order he seeks to create - to decide the matter of reproduction, to usurp the role of judge of the living and the dead. It is a power the Left has been desperate to acquire. I discussed this at some length during the debate over the life of Terri Schiavo back in 2005. The absolute determination of the Left to snuff out Terri's life puzzled many conservatives at that time, but makes perfect sense in this context. We see this with animal rights groups like PETA claiming "a boy is a dog is a horse is a man", suggesting that Man is nothing but an animal like any other and subject to the collective will. We see this in the debate about stem cell research, where utilitarianism trumps the life of the embryo that must be destroyed, an embryo brought into existence solely to be a subject of research and ultimately destroyed. We see this in human experimentation conducted by the U.S. government and other governments over the decades - including a recent experiment by the EPA where test subjects were exposed to dangerous levels of air pollutants to test the effects of these pollutants on unsuspecting people. Seeing human beings as things is par for the course for the Left. If we are nothing but meat with minds then we can be treated like meat. Advancement of the human condition requires a certain degree of pain and suffering to usher in the promised paradise by human effort. You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs... Leftists have broken many eggs where they achieve power. Take the 20,946,000 Victims of the Nazis, or the 149,469,610 murdered by Communists in the interest of "change". And don't forget the billion plus aborted worldwide since the Left won their "right of a woman to choose" at the expense of a child. So Al Gore promotes decreased child mortality and education for women not because those things are moral but because they are useful tools to promote his dreams of a new world order. In the end he wants to impose his will on these beneficiaries of his benevolence. He and the rest of the utopian Left are going to help us, even if it kills us. Global Warming is just one tool to achieve this end.
