The Frito Bandito- Illegal Immigrant?

Sad, but the Frito Bandito was killed by Political Correctness some 45 years ago! Can you believe it? Now, nearly a half a century later if you try to sneak someone’s chips you risk being labeled a Frito bandito! Great advertising icons never really die—they still live in our hearts and are filed away in the minutia compartments of our brains.

So what does this have to do with Arizona? You’ve already seen the battle lines drawn by Mr. Obama in courting the minority coalition of voters –most who are sucking on the teat of government one way or another. Now the state of Arizona is simply doing what the feds have failed to do in upholding the constitution by actually protecting our border. God forbid we actually call the people sneaking into America by ILLEGAL means “Illegal”! But the divide that was already evident in America between the political left and the political right is about to widen so far that the gap may never be bridged. Every president says they’re the president of all Americans. But the truth is that the zerO in the White House has made great strides in just over a year to alienate a majority of Americans while disappointing many of his own party faithful. The Old Media still fawns and spouts its leftist apologetic by degrading the Tea Party members and now is having a field day demonizing Arizona for doing what the federal government neglected to do. Now the rush is on to give amnesty to about 12 million illegal aliens who will register immediately with the Democratic Party. Heck, when you add that figure to those who vote several times in the same election, the dead who rise every couple of years to vote the Dems party line, the Black Panther intimidators, and the voting machines with electronic glitches that somehow add digits for the democrats—and you might have another term of this imposter we have allowed to squat in the seat of power. So what does this have to do with the Frito Bandito you ask? I came across a Spanish language newspaper today and although I don’t read much Spanish I was able to get the tone of anger and defiance already being stirred by the liberal media. One headline read: Arizona passes law against immigrants. I went to my translator and did not find the word ILLEGAL spelled out in the headline. Below the heading was a picture of a Mexican with his shirt pulled half off standing by a train looking downcast. I gathered enough from the story that Arizona has some 400,000 undocumented workers. Holy Crap! Out of 6.5 million residents? The story was also quick to mention that the governor was a Republican. Isn’t it interesting when you read in the media about a congressman or politician who has fallen from grace that most often you have to really dig to find out if it’s a democrat—whereas the republican is demonized three times in the first paragraph? So you say, what about the Frito Bandito? Well, it’s too bad we can’t somehow bring back this wonderful advertising icon to be the poster boy of ILLEGAL immigrants. I know profiling is so politically incorrect. But I bet that anyone who is in Arizona LEGALLY will not have a problem with being asked for their ID, knowing that their government officials are actually doing something proactive!
