China has allowed its unregulated industry poison several hundred thousand babies with plastic “enhanced” milk is a “world leader” on the environment?

The Green Party’s Path to Regression

This can be found on the Sierra Club’s website: “Calpine Corporation's Russell City Energy Center would provide 600 megawatts of electrical power for purchase by PG&E.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has completed taking public comments, and is expected to approve a "Prevention of Significant Deterioration" permit (really a permit to pollute) for the plant. For the permit to take effect, however, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Fish and Wildlife Service must also sign it. These agencies have not to date raised any serious objections, but we are asking them to prepare a formal Biological Opinion before signing, and believe that that will show that the plant would have unacceptable impacts on wildlife. If the agencies should approve the permit anyway, there are several levels of appeal that offer opportunities to stop the plant. Despite rumors to the contrary, the Sierra Club is firmly opposed to this project for many reasons. The facility would be adjacent to the Hayward Regional Shoreline Park and in the midst of 1,713 acres of saltwater, freshwater, and brackish marshes, seasonal wetlands, public trails, and habitat for 208 bird species and many small mammals - including 20 rare, threatened, or endangered species. A flood-control channel for the power plant would be just upstream of a specially protected preserve for the salt-marsh harvest mouse. The Hayward Regional Shoreline Park is a significant element of the San Francisco Bay South Important Bird Area. Such areas are part of an international network of the most critical habitats for global bird populations.”

If we depopulate the earth of humanity, hurrah! If we depopulate the earth of the Devils Hole Pupfish, disaster!

The Sierra Club, a longtime power within the Green Party affiliates, is only one of the bad actors within this loose-knit cabal, but they do typify the general sentiment all greenies have when it comes to Gaia, their god, in other words mother earth; humans are bad, animals are good. If we depopulate the earth of humanity, hurrah! If we depopulate the earth of the Devils Hole Pupfish, disaster! During the recent U.N. global warming summit in Copenhagen, China came under fire for not doing enough to reduce its CO2 emissions. However, China had at least one defender: Canada's Financial Post. Canada's equivalent to the Wall Street Journal, the Post stated that China is "the world's leader in terms of fashioning policy to combat environmental degradation." Well this is interesting. The country that has allowed its unregulated industry poison several hundred thousand babies with plastic “enhanced” milk is a “world leader” on the environment? The answer to that conundrum is quite simple when you look at the agenda behind the statement. China is well known for its one-child policy. According to the Financial Post, the "inconvenient truth overhanging" the Copenhagen summit is that "humans are overpopulating the world." The Greenies at the Post want the entire world to embrace China's one-child policy. According to the Post, this "simple" and "dramatic" fix would reduce global population by 50 percent when we reach 2075. This is how the Financial Post wraps up their in-depth reporting: “the failure to even consider such a measure at Copenhagen is proof that world leaders aren't serious about global warming.” Surprisingly the earth isn’t all that serious about it either. The Mississippi River has frozen over all the way into what was Confederate territory during the Civil War. How’s that global warming coming, Mr. Gore? If you look you can find challenges to nearly every endeavor to move us from twentieth century industry to twenty-first. In almost every case those attempting to stop progress are associated with the Greenies. You could invent a Star Trek style Matter Replicator and somewhere some wild-eyed environmentalist would protest its manufacture, even though such a device would eliminate nearly every single source of particulate pollution. When it comes down to it, the pollution is not what they are against, it is progress.

What the environmentalists really want is for us to regress into a preindustrial existence

What the environmentalists really want is for us to regress into a preindustrial existence...before the days of jets, cars, and even the steam engine. In many ways they aren’t even all that happy with modern medicine and the elimination of certain of Gaia’s children such as smallpox. Remember, modern medicine’s great sin is the extension of the human lifeline. My real problem with them though is their continual blatant hypocrisy. Politicians such as John Edwards, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Al Gore and yes, even Barack Obama receive not only a pass from these people but overwhelming support; all the while piling up record amounts of so-called carbon waste. You and I will receive glares strong enough to kill if we pass by in a late model SUV. Any of the politicos I mentioned will receive applause. So what do we do as a community with these folk? I say ignore them. Turn a deaf ear to their protests and don’t even give them the time of day when they scream their First Amendment rights are being violated. No, no rights will have been violated if you allow them to speak. There is nothing in the Constitution that says you have to stay around to listen. As a community you can un-elect any judge that favors their regressive agenda. You have a right to ignore their chants and marches. You even have a right to turn down a Washington Mandate; remember the 10th Amendment. If it may cost you a few sheckles, but you’ll be much better off in the long run. Turn your back on the greenies, if you do so often enough they will move back to the California Bay Area and leave us the hell alone.
