There will be no cost of living increase in social security for 2 years

The Hypocrisy of Washington Knows No Bounds

That was two weeks ago, but now the House and Senate have put their foot in it big time. Under a House-Senate conference measure approved by the House and poised for passage by the Senate, spending for the legislative branch will increase 5.8 % this year. boosting Capitol Hill's annual budget to $4.7 billion dollars.

How much would you like to bet there will be a pay raise for these parasites buried in there somewhere? Now let's see: The measure includes such necessaries as a pilot program for Senators to send post cards about their town hall meetings to the tune of $500,000 dollars. $30,000 for receptions for foreign dignitaries, whatever the hell they are (I never did like that word, it sounds too pompous). $4 million for hiring consultants, with Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) getting up to nine each, and Senate President Pro-Tem Robert Byrd (D-W.VA) getting up to three more. $15.8 million for the Senate Appropriations Committee- plus $950,000 for the committee's administrative expenses. With the country in a financial state nearing depression like proportions, these clowns have increased their own budget 10.9 % above last years budget. The offices of Reid and McConnell will each get an increase of 4.3% from last year and Pelosi will get an increase of 4.1%. You parasites ask us to tighten our belt and be fiscally conservative, but what about you Gonefs doing the same, or is that too much to ask? Some House Republicans to their credit, protested, with 162 Republicans including the ranking subcommittee member Robert Aderholt (R-Alabama) last week voting against this bill which was sent to the Senate on a 217-190 vote. The increase was otherwise largely a bipartisan affair. The Senate Appropriations Committee, where McConnell and 29 other appropriators sit, voted 30-0 to send the bill to the full Senate which approved the bill by a 67-25 vote. It isn't just Democrats, it is Republicans too, they all have to go the whole damned lot of them. Do Not Vote For Any Incumbent, They Have All Been There Too Long, Two Terms And Then You Roll Up Your Gear And Go Home, No More Career Politicians. You Elitist Parasites Seem To Have Forgotten That You Work For Us. We The People Giveth, And We The People Can Damn Sure Taketh Away. Wasn't it Marie Antoinette who said "What no bread, let them eat cake"? She sort of lost her head, what was the old girl thinking?
