The Missing Ingredient

First to ensure we are on the same page, here are some definitions.

Civil: adjective

1. Of, relating to, or befitting a citizen or citizens.
2. Of or relating to citizens and their interrelations with one another or with the state.
3. Of ordinary citizens or ordinary community life as distinguished from the military or the ecclesiastical.

Civility: noun

1. Courteous behavior; politeness.
2. A courteous act or utterance.
3. The state of society in which the relations and duties of a citizen are recognized and obeyed; a state of civilization.

Civilized: adjective

1. Having a highly developed society and culture.
2. Showing evidence of moral and intellectual advancement; humane, ethical, and reasonable.
3. Marked by refinement in taste and manners; cultured.

Civilization: noun

1. An advanced state of intellectual, cultural, and material development in human society, marked by progress in the arts and sciences, the extensive use of record-keeping, including writing, and the appearance of complex political and social institutions.
2. The type of culture and society developed by a particular nation or region or in a particular epoch.
3. The act or process of civilizing or reaching a civilized state.

The United States of America has a problem, and as is often the case, when America has a problem, the whole world has a problem. Of course, America has more than one problem, but the focus of this article is the collapsing of civilization. In certain parts of the world, the collapse of civilization has been the goal since the late 1940s. But more on that in a moment. However, the collapse of civilization in America is a relatively new phenomenon.

The rise and fall of civilizations is nothing new to human history. The cycle of civilizations is demonstrated in the Christian Bible, and the cycle has continued to modern times. Civilizations do not have to collapse. From here on, my focus will be on western civilization, rather than try to cover all civilizations.

Western civilization is based on the basic principles of the Judeo-Christian Ten Commandments. As long as the standards of the Ten Commandments are upheld, western civilization is perpetuated and its citizen prosper. When a western culture drifts away from those principles, that culture finds itself on the slippery slope toward the collapse of civilization.

The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17)

1. “I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, but showing mercy to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.
3. “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain
4. “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
5. “Honor your father and your mother.
6. “You shall not murder.
7. “You shall not commit adultery.
8. “You shall not steal.
9. “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10. “You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.”

Two more commandments.

“The most important is ‘the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. ‘The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” ~ Jesus Christ- Mark 12.29-31

These 12 commandments are the very key to western civilization. These commandments put “civil” into civilization. The most important, in my humble opinion, is: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Christianity has always been a love driven religion and that is why Christian countries have always thrived, been the leaders of the free world, and where most advances benefiting humanity originated.

Since World War II, socialist elements in Europe have been working to undermine Christianity and Judeo-Christian values. In most respects, Europe has been on the slippery slope of cultural and societal decline for nearly 75 years. In 2025, all evidence seems to suggest that 2,000 years of European civilization is about to end in several European countries, with several more countries in the danger zone. Christianity is being replaced by a barbaric 7^th century culture that has always been driven by hate of every other culture. If this trend is not stopped, historic European natives are in for hard times that will make the European Dark Ages look like a picnic.

Since the turn of the 21^st century, both America and Canada have found themselves on the slippery slope Europe has been on. Poorly regulated, and for a time unregulated in America, immigration policy has allowed foreign invaders to legally and illegally enter our countries. Many of these people who have crossed our borders have ill intent and want to make our countries like the barbaric places they hail from, repeating what is happening in Europe.

What must we do to get ourselves off that slippery slope? I believe the assassination attempts on President Trump and the assassination of Charlie Kirk have started the needed social revolution. Americans are seeing a resurgence in Jewish synagogue and Christian church attendance, which is the key to reasserting Judeo-Christian values in our culture and society. Americans are recognizing the nonsensical behavior and positions advocated by the socialist Democrat Party. Americans are also recognizing exactly how much better their lives are getting as a result of having Donald J. Trump as the American President. Just as important, younger Americans are taking an interest in government.

The Democrat Party has only succeeded because of its success at keeping enough people fooled. Those days are over because the socialist Democrats have gone too extreme on so many things. The majority of Americans will never believe a man can become a woman or that women can fairly compete in sports with biological men. Democrat lies are simply not working any more.

It is important that civility find its way into American politics if civilization is to survive.
