Tequila and Sombreros!

The racists at MSNBC celebrate Cinco de Mayo by showing us what they think of Mexicans

Obviously, I'm not one for screaming "racism" every time someone trots out a stereotype. If I was, I'd lose my mind every St. Patrick's Day when half the country dresses up as a leprechaun and drinks itself into a stupor.

Like most conservatives, I get the idea that this sort of imagery is what it is, and I'm capable of letting things go. Unfortunately, it only takes one quick glance at MSNBC's line-up of race-baiting talking heads to realize this is not a power their network possesses. From Al Sharpton, to Melissa Harris Perry, to the uni-monikered wunderkind named Toure, someone at MSNBC yells "racism" pretty much every hour. These people love charging others with "racism" so much, that they simply can't help themselves. They do it the way news radio does traffic and weather: "every ten minutes, on the eights." So, yesterday, when MSNBC decided to announce the arrival of Cinco de Mayo, they did it with all the respect, sensitivity, and class you would expect from such a racially concious group of "progressives." ....Oh wait, no they didn't. They did it by putting a sombrero on a white guy and having him prance around - guzzling tequila - while shaking a pair of maracas. Can you imagine what would happen if Fox News had done this? The race-baiting industry would be in overdrive. They'd be calling for Roger Ailes' head and demanding that the FCC revoke Fox's license. Meanwhile, La Raza would be organizing a social justice march on Washington and MSNBC would be doing everything in its power to stoke the fires of faux outrage. Apparently, the network that thought it was hilarious when Mitt Romney's family adopted a black child has once again displayed its true colors. Given their track record, I suppose we should be happy that they showed some restraint. We could have been subjected to Chris Matthews in a fake mustache, wearing a bandolier, and firing his guns into the air while singing "La Cucaracha." Here's what MSNBC thinks of their own actions:
